Not to be confused with the general 'weather' thread, this one is about BAD weather. What bad weather is your area known for? How often does it happen? The reason I made this thread is because right now I'm stuck in my basement with a tornado warning :P

I got to see a thundershower over the mountains! It was so cool with the mountains in the background and the virga in the foreground...

The rivers were all high in the mountains because of intense snow and rain. They were scary in some spots!

Ohhh and i leave near chicago "The Windy City" so we are known for wind and also theres a saying that i always like
"if you dont like the weather in chicago wait a minute it'll change" obviously an exaggeration but the weather does change alot from one day to the next

That should be Iowa's weather quote. :P

Severe, slow moving storms expected here tonight! It should be very, very fun. >

Anyone heard of Tropical Storm Emily? Here's her projected path.

There's also Eugiene, but he's going away from land.

Snowguy, it is impossible for there to be an Emily and Eugene in the same year.

Emily is in the Atlantic, and Eugene is in Eastern Pacific (off the West Coast).

Two different name sets, but otherwise you are correct.

Multiple tropical waves are afoot in the Atlantic... It'll be interesting to see what develops. Hopefully nothing too bad.

I heard about that. It looked pretty bad... Is everyone okay there?
In about three months the temperatures will get down to the 30's or so... D:

Lots of tropical waves coming off of Africa now... We're in the thick of Hurricane Season. Good luck and stay safe, to everyone down south!
