The band Gojira from France loves whales. They donate a portion of the money they make from conerts, albums, etc. to organizations that help keep whales from being hunted and all that other stuff. They even dedicated an album cover and song to them.

I have watched Whale Wars before and it does have comedic value. Whale Wars is about a conflict between people trying to save whales and people trying to "study" whales when they're really killing them.
