Ignostic (wiki)

1. The view that a coherent definition of God must be presented before the question of the existence of god can be meaningfully discussed. Furthermore, if that definition is unfalsifiable, the ignostic takes the theological noncognitivist position that the question of the existence of God (per that definition) is meaningless. In this case, the concept of God is not considered meaningless; the term "God" is considered meaningless.
2. The second view is synonymous with theological noncognitivism, and skips the step of first asking "What is meant by 'God'?" before proclaiming the original question "Does God exist?" as meaningless.

Furthermore...

Some philosophers have seen ignosticism as a variation of agnosticism or atheism, while others have considered it to be distinct. An ignostic maintains that they cannot even say whether he/she is a theist or an atheist until a sufficient definition of theism is put forth.

Considering this stance does not hold a positive claim of believing a god exists it is a stance of atheism. Furthermore since this stance holds a lack of knowledge of a deity (particularly the very definition) it is an agnostic view.

I am what you would call a Christian most likely.
With that said, please don't assume I am a normal "Christian"
I don't appreciate such thoughts.
I won't think nasty comments, so you shouldn't =p

My parents are Christian.

I occasionally attend church and I believe in God, but I haven't gone through the whole baptizing thing yet.

Atheist I guess. I don't believe in god or anything... does that count me in?

Considering that's the only requirement, yeah.

Atheism is the lack of belief in a deity. Communism is a political system that makes absolutely no statement about any kind of belief or not. Both have nothing in common, except not being a religion..

I really can't decide if I'm going with atheism or christianity, I have been confirmed and everything already, but that's just because my whole family is Christian. When I was learning about god I thought that it sounded kindof fake, but all they say is to be christian you have to believe Jesus rose from the dead, I guess I do, but for the rest of the preachings, it dosen't sound legitimate.

Do you believe that there is a deity out there? If yes, then you're not an atheist. Maybe you aren't a christian either, but that's another matter.

Ok I wouldn't rule out the possibility of their being a god ENTIRELY, because there is always that slight possibility, but since you asked such an easy question, my answer is going to be no. So that then put me in the catagory of atheism and I'll have atheism haters on my back now.

So, you think you might be an agnostic atheist (you don't believe in a god but you don't know for sure)?
Then it's now where it gets interesting. You said you kinda believe jesus ressurrected. Since he can't be the son of god when there's no god, how would you explain the ressurrection? Do you believe in souls?

I kindof do because there's no evidence to prove that wrong and the body WAS written to be gone and the ROCK moved. Maybe just reanimation of the corpse, kindof a zombie and I used to believe in souls because I was scarred of dying, but now I am not and don't believe in an afterlife, I just believe we just stop existing like all other creatures and have our bodies feed the plants.

What's more likely that someone resurrected from the dead or the body was moved by someone or the story is just as fake as you think the other stories are? What makes that story more real than the others?
