State your opinion on why every movie has to be in 3-D.

In my opinion it's okay with animated movies and special effect movies, but why live action? there's already depth in live action.

I agree, so many movies in 3-d gets old and it jacks up the prices by $5 where I go just for a piece of plastic. Now a movie like Avatar is only good in 3-d. I tried watching it when my friend got the dvd and lost the 3-d glasses and it just wasn't nearly the same.

It is the way technology is moving, I guess. Our grandchilderen will be complaining just like this when almost every movie is holographic.

ikr. It's just a profit scheme.

Exactly. Even in 2D films, your mind automatically tells you "that car isn't flat"

Because it's a huge money grab for big hollywood. everyone wants to see the cool 3-d effects and all the stuff "flying out at you" in my opinion, it's really annoying and actually hurts my eyes.

I dont like how when I watch a 3d movie, a man in the foreground seems 2-dimensional while a desk in the background is popping right out at you.

the 3d movie industry needs some work.

Cause ever since Avatar came out in 3D and Imax people think that they can recreate an Avatar out of Cars 2 and The Smurfs.

It's just a new gimmick. A trend. It'll pass.

I don't think 3D movies are all that great. I mean, if I wanted to feel like I was going to get punched in the face I'd just move my fist closer towards my face. Not as cool, but it's free.

sitting in a cramped theater with a pair of glasses on doesn't sound too fun... only when they come out with actual 3-D movies, i mean like holographic projections from multiple projector units that make the movie seem real, will i go see one.

The only 3D movie where they did good with the effects was Spy Kids 3, because even in the 2D version the stuff pops out about the same.
