The Doctor. Which doctor? THE Doctor. Doctor... who? Yes. No, I mean, Dr. Who. Yes. But... oh I get it.

Anyway, the Doctor is the best detective. Though he has the advantage of being over 900 years old.

I have one word... Holmes (Sherlock Holmes)

if he was real i would agree. but if he was fictionous like scoobie doo or conan from the anime i would say a real detective.

DEFINITLY hercule poirot, from many agatha christi books. (christi is probabally not spelled right...)

Sherlock Holmes. Take some time to read all of Conan Doyle's writing. Excellent stuff.

Though of course I haven't read any of Poirot, whom I've heard is also great.

And if anybody says scooby doo...I swear...I'm gonna trow a tantrum...


Anyone who would choose Scooby would be fairly ignorant. He just runs away from masked men with his stoner friend while a jock, a nerd and a ditz who has a nasty habit of getting herself captured work together to solve the case at hand.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a die-hard Scooby Doo fan, but he's usually no help at all when it comes to solving mysteries.
