sharaia law icludes quraan and hadeeths there are many matters quran is silent on like punishment of a gay etc
Dude, I need to lay this out flat for you.
Its spelled Sharia.
It isn't some codified law scripture, you can't find it hanging on the wall of a museum like the US Constitution.
That being said, it is subject to interpretation. Not all Hadith's are reported true, because after all, they were orally transmitted. People rely on using links between Hadiths [If more than one historical figure says the same thing].
So Sharia law isn't 'defined' at all. So it really doesn't say much.
If a country chooses to run in Sharia law, then it also needs theocratic interpretation from religious officials.
what if it wasn't insulting, say people use computer technologies to get an accurate description of the prophet Mohammed and what he looked like back then?
It isn't that we fear him so much or that we deem him sacred that we shouldn't draw/depict him -- that would kill the whole monotheistic idea.
Our hope is to not make him an icon/idol of the religion. We don't want to make him more than what he was, which is a human prophet. We live by his standards not because we think he was a God, but because we think he lived his life to the fullest extend of Islam. [Being a prophet and all that makes sense].
For this reason, we would prefer no drawings/depictions of his to be made, simply because we don't like it.
I don't think any Muslims I know in the West will ever go on a killing montage because someone draws it, and we all comprehend the idea of free speech.
Making all of these drawings and causing so much hype regarding any depiction of the prophet has given westerners a sense that Islam has almost nothing to do with being a religion and has almost everything to do with our prophet.
punishment of a insulter of holy prophet
See, like this law. It is totally open to interpretation. How can anyone honestly believe this when the Qur'an itself says that this shouldn't be done? Clearly it makes sense that the Hadith that this was founded on, or the interpretation of the theocratic official was misguided. Islam is not led by Imams and many people seem to not know that.
wen do u get ur 72 virgins and r they good looking
The concept of 72 virgins doesn't make any sense at all. There's a notion in Surah Rahman that states those entering paradise will get splendid companions, recreations of those dead beforehand, usually of equal age. It doesn't really specify who they are in any or all context, so to assume you just get 72 virgins to bang doesn't make any sense.
