Ethical treatment of animals. Heh. Something about this showed up on one of the other sites I use. A 94% kill rate for any organization (except slaughterhouses) is crazy. Something really should be done about them.
On a side note, I think PETA is like one of the criminal organizations in pokemon games.

Its nice to know that animal rights are upheld by animal rights activists.

Have you read the part about them recruiting children at school? They're ensuring next-generation support...

...has someone here already been confronted with PETA activists at school once?

I haven't and I hope I don't. PETA can't say that they want better treatment for animals if they don't give animals better treatment. And there are plenty of problems that humans have right now that we can spend more time on. I understand endangered animals because that effects everyone. But there are people world wide suffering. I think we can give a little more attention to them.

Well I think anyone who is experienced with PETA knows that in these types of situations they take the extremes and bend the reality to fit the standards. They are likely correct in the area they are talking about, just not most of the areas that share the same job. PETA is asking for donations and regulation on this. Federal regulations cost money due to upkeep. Instead of using money for this, we could instead use the money for more delicate matters.

This isn't anything new I've seen reports similar to this from years ago.

OMG yes! Back in like 4th grade, they had a fundraiser to get $100,000 across the district so an abused/neglected dog could get eye surgery/replacement. The entire time I was thinking, "Wouldn't buying an eye for a person be a better use of the money?!?" (also shouldn't schools be teaching kids to SAVE money instead of donating every penny they get [as well as begging their parents] for the reward of a pizza party for the class that donated the most money?) Anyway, the goal was met, the dog got a new eye, but it still died like a year later. SUCH A WASTE!

Wow it looks like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has turned into People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. Sad just sad. Look what the media has done to us! If this is one company or idea that is corrupted we know that there are many more! Let us hope that they are reviled.

What can you do? Power and money corrupts everyone at some point. Only the strongest resist. PETA isn't one of them.

What can you do?

Perhaps we should make a non-profit volunteer organization that's all for eating meat to counter them.

And they take time to find homes for dogs and cats.

What would they do tho? Eating meat for free? Saying eating meat is okay? The big majority of people do eat meat, so I don't think it would work. It's like having a straight pride parade.

Despite its $33 million budget, PETA does not operate an adoption shelter.

Wow, just, wow... Instead of spending so much money for their stupid ad campaigns they could operate an adoption shelter and stop killing so many animals for no reason. Another reason not to support PETA.
