Hi folks. Well, the title says it all: what actress is the most versatile on your opinion. By "versatile" I mean: What actress made different characters and kept them apart? Because, seriously, there are actresses that make two characters to look the same.

In my opinion, the most versatile actress is Christine Baranski, because I saw a TV Show that talked about her and it showed that she managed to do three different characters! A camp manager in a movie, a happy-living woman in Mamma Mia and the tough lawyer Diane Lockhart from "The Good Wife!"

Three female characters totally different!

Old school - Jack Nicholson or Tom Hanks
New School - Johnny Depp or Sean Penn

Sean Penn is New School?

Tom Hanks and Johnny Depp were highly cited so far! Jack Nicholson was great as "Joker".

(Hm... I guess I'll create a "Battle of The Actors" thread... would be nice, wouldn't it?)

Another actor that might reveal some versatility is Taylor Lautner.

As a kid, he made "Sharkboy" from Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

As a teenager, he got the attention from the girls fans of the Twilight series by playing Jacob.

And now he's making an action movie!

This may be the start of a good actor career.

The most versatile actress for me has to be Rachel McAdams.
How someone can go from a main role in Mean girls to the Notebook is beyond me.

Two totally different roles which she played amazingly. I wouldn't of believed it was the same actress.

On the other hand, the less versatile actor, in my opinion is Harrison Ford or Daniel Radcliffe.

Both seem to hide their talents on their respective series (Indiana Jones and Harry Potter, respectively). Not saying that they're bad actors, just too repetitive.

Harrison Ford goes even farther. EVERY one of his characters are Indiana Jones-alike

Clint Eastwood ended up the same way where all of his characters are expected to be as hardcore as The Man with no Name.

Maggie Smith.

Best there is. She's an actress. Not some hot broad bimbo that some high school scout found of the street and then auto-tuned and had a big company force down people's throats

I totally agree for Nattaly Portman even if I don't like her.

An other versatile actress is Sigourney Weaver. A lot of people just know her throught Aliens, but she has turned in a lot of different movies
