Bah! A Satanist to an Odinist! Glorious! Let us discuss my friend Odinist. We are not too far apart!
In Satanism, one believes that as long as if he exists, he will be Saved, compared to the lives of the various Divines and their intelligence, Human lives are more-so punishments! We Satanists will be Saved simply because we exist, not because we pray to a certain God or read some scripture. Atheistic Satanists take that meaning and live by that creed, other Satanists, Theistic Satanists, actually accept Satan as a God-Like being, acknowledge the events of Paradise Lost as attempts by God to segregate the human population, and love Satan unconditionally for his acceptance to Save us without question.
So.. you guys think that christianity came in finland and and estonia for free will. Screw you i rather burn a church. Read Anders Bägsted book gods and heroes from norseland. And i am not a troller you fools!!! My parents?? My father dumbed me and my mother is half******.. So i took inspirations from books and and uncles.. And i am 17 so dont cry. later...
...I like him. He found what he wanted on his own, not because someone told him to do it. He read the texts and asked the questions, and that is commendable. His attitude... eh... I've seen better. His ascension into Odinism is similar to my own into Satanism. I feel... connected.

I don't mean to be too rude, but... he went from one fairytale to another (fully aware of it, it seems), just because he didn't like the first one. I can understand his fascination for nordic mythology, but not his 'conversion' to modern groups/cults loosely based on those. It's good that he looked at christianity with a critical mind, but he should do the same for his current "belief", or else I don't see the point. It's good that he read books about both, but he gives too much credits to lyrics of songs from bands who use nordic myths as sales argument. I'm still not sure as of yet whether he really believes in the ancient nordic gods or if he just chose to join a group that offers a good enough platform for his hate of christianism.
My last question to you Trolla, is, why? Why Odinism and not atheism? Why sticking with the religious thing?

I don't really think there is need for the attitude considering you're the one who posted a thread and asked us to question your religion. We then pose questions to you which you ignore and then get angry about.
It's understandable if you have had a tough time with your parents and drew inspirations from somewhere else. Everyone here is civil enough to realize and accept that it is a persons choice if they want to follow or believe in a religion.
The only problem i have with yours is you decided to follow it because your uncle did, because music is cool, the stories are cool but not real (your words) but are more interesting than Christianity.
Do you have any real reasons for following such a religion, and how exactly (minus sacrifices which you didn't give a lot of detail about) do you practice Odinism?
soooooo...from what I gathered, KMT had a fit when one of the most serious questions were asked. btw, even a 17 year old should be rational enough that if he just denied christianity, and that all of the religions you looked at were considered by you a lie, that turning to one of these said "lies" after calling it one, but I digress.
by the looks of things, this forum is sinking and fast. until you learn everything there is to know about the topic, and can back up your arguments, then there will always be someone who will poke holes in your beliefs until you look like a tattered mess (this happened to me multiple times). it also didn't help that you digressed into the music so many times.
if you have an interest in something, then that's great. the only problem is when the line between interest and "worship" becomes obscured.
if you wanted to back up your argument, then you should've quoted that book you mentioned earlier.
but now for my real question: if you believe so much in it, would you really follow the path of the wolf-feeder and battle until you die, or are you going to be a total hypocrite and spew all this talk of how you "believe" but never back it up? will you be a warrior in your last hour? or a pansy?
I jump down on the cliff.. if i want honorable death. I will be warrior who don´t fear killing someone or killed by someone. Odin gives me wisdom, Thor strengh and Frej luck and plenty.
Citing the following reasons before locking this thread: - Massive double and triple posting by creator for no reason - Serious lack of actual substance. So far all I have seen in serious questions responded to with (in essence) "lol, whut? shut up, no." - Lack of thread direction. From the get go it was just a thread about asking to ask the thread creator to ask why he prefers a certain religion.
Oh, and I'm calling balderdash on 99% of the 'answers' on this thread.
