What's wrong with Nitrome submitting games? They had games they finished, they submitted it all at once, and AG liked it. What's wrong with that?
Apparently, some people (like Maepzer) are anti-Nitrome and will create anti-Nitrome threads. I think Nitrome is an OK developer, but they switched to a newly added armatar. Once I saw this, I made this thread.
I like Nitrome games and their puzzle theme just fits with their developing style. The way they make their games wouldnt work well with, say, a shooting game or an RPG.
Nitrome is like any other developer - they have some gems, and they have some fly-bait. Of the four new games they entered here, it was half and half: Rubble Trouble and Faultline were good, but Chisel and Steamlands, no. As to Maepzer's gripe about too many puzzle games, 1> puzzles are a good mind exercise, and 2> Nitrome has action games, even action puzzles. Try out "Dirk Valentine" and "Toxic" 1 and 2. You'll find things like shooting enemies and throwing an assortment of high-explosives and shape charges. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they sent those three over here to AG as well.
