for me the best was ep 3 because of the epic lightsaber battle in the lava place at the end

I dislike Episode Three for one reason. During the fight between Obi-Wan and Grievous, why didn't General Grievous use any of his other three lightsabers as soon as he clashed one of them with Kenobi's? Why didn't he just let his droids shoot Kenobi? Why didn't Kenobi wait for the clones to come instead of jumping right into the middle of over a hundred droids? Why didn't Kenobi just use the force to take out Grievous?

For me A New Hope was the best movie to me. I enjoyed the other two in the Original Trilogy but A New Hope was the best to me.

Define 'Star Wars-movies'.
Do you mean: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi? That's just some of the Star Wars movies.

Do you count what who happened before and after too? Do you count Clone Wars?

From what I saw
1 because I got bored and lost track after 1 hour. So I wouldn't make the total of +/- 17/18 hour.

The Original Trilogy without a doubt. I don't think I can pick a favorite out of the three though. I like them all fairly equally. Having said that, and being a fan, I don't really much care for I, II, or III.

I am the kind of guy who cares about graphics, both in movies and in games, so the new trilogy has a big advantage to me. And honestly, I didn't like at all the Empire Strikes Again and the Return of the Jedi. They was directed by another person, and it's pretty evident, and the soundtracks are much worse.
About the ones actually directed by Lucas, the one I enjoyed the least is the Attack of the Clones. I liked the dramatic power of the huge clone army scenes, but there were too many parts which I didn't like, like the arena one.
Then comes the Phantom Menace, which was a perfectly fine movie, but it was a little too isolated from the whole saga, with the final party and such.
A New Hope and the Revenge of the Sith were both great and it's really hard to pick one. The original one has the same problem of the Phantom Menace, but it was perfect apart for that. The Revenge of the Sith was great. I'm not a happy ending kind of person, so I loved this one. It was extremely dramatic and it had the best soundtracks of the whole series. And of course, the visual greatness came to its maximum.
So, long story short:
1- the Revenge of the Sith
2- a New Hope
3- the Phantom Menace
4- the Attack of the Clones
5- the Return of the Jedi
6- the Empire Strikes Back

lol I thought the same things. But it wouldn't be fair if he simply force-shoved him off of the cliff.

Like gaboloth, I also like graphics and quality, but the original trilogy was really impressive for the time period they were created in. Back to the topic, I think the best movie is Episode Three: The Revenge of the Sith.

Star wars VI and Star Wars III are my personal favorites.Star wars VI has the originality and action, but Star Wars III has the graphics and cool characters(that stupidly die in the middle of the movie a.k.a General Grevious).

The original trilogy is the best in my opinion. I grew up watching those films, so it's difficult to pick just one. Though the special effects aren't the best now, they were great when the films were filmed.
The new trilogy isn't bad, but I don't enjoyed it as much as the first one. I think the best of the new trilogy is the Revenge of the Sith; I love the lightsaber battle scene.

Return of the Jedi hands down. Dont care about... animation
budget, low reviews, I just like the movie. That simple. Who cares about effects? It was a nice movie. Also I loved the slave Leia scene. But uh the rest was great too.

I enjoyed the 4th the most. 1 was the worst. really didn't like the kid who played anakin, thought he ruined the movie.
