I think the most under-rated series has to be the Halo series, everyone says it sucks but i think it is one of the best series out there! I think the most over-rated series has to be Final Fantasy series

Where have you heard that? I'd say Halo is more over-rated than anything.
But the most over-rated series for me would have to be CoD. Everyone says those are the best games ever when really... the games bore me to the point of wanting to commit suicide and most people that I know personally think that's what real wars are fought like.
Now for under-rated games or series, I have to say that LoZ: Majora's Mask is the most under-rated game. I find it to be more fun than Ocarina of Time. There's so much more to do in that game, so many sidequests, a ton of more and better items, an antagonist that's not Gannondorf, an interesting plot, fairly original characters, tough puzzles, actually hard bosses *glares at OoT*, and cooler Ocarina songs.
halo is pretty overated. id say the most over rated game ever is ff7 (its overated but its still awsome XP). in here i remember times where bodukai and teken were so overated.
majoras mask is underated as a zelda game but defenitely not as a video game. i think the most underated game is kuri kuri mix... thats a shame because its probably one of my fav games ever. its so underated most people dont even know what that is.
Over-rated I would have to say Grand theft auto games... They are pretty useless.
and as for under-rated I'm kind of stuck. I can't think of anything, but I picked up Lost: Via Domus at blockbuster for like 8 bucks and it's a pretty good game for the price I got it (not used)
Most Overrated? Take any of the current Call of Duty games. Seriously, when Modern Warfare 3 comes out everyone will completely forget about Black Ops and claim MW3 to be the best game ever.
I'm kinda stuck for underrated, because ironically most of the games I own are either mainstream or classics like Halo: Reach and Super Mario Bros.

an underrated game i'd say is is the Fallout series (that includes the ones before Fallout 3) seeing as i know very few people who play and really enjoy fallout NV or fallout 3, and i know not a single person who likes the older fallouts (except on No Mutants Allowed website)

bro, i played COD a lot, i think i can form my own opinion about it, and it's fun yet overrated. I hate playing in the multiplayer because the community sucks
Over rated all the CODs after WAW. Under Rated would DEFINATLEY be Postal series, no one even knows abut the series, and it is never even played because it is so badly bad mouthed for its violence, there is seriously not ONE reveiw that dosen't become all bias agianst the violence aspect.

I've played both of the series' several times. I like Halo, but I find it over rated because I hear people say such good things about it, like:
It's the best game in the world I've never played such a good game in my entire life
...Yet when I play it, I think "Ok, this is fun, but it gets old. Definitely not the best game in the world or the best game i've ever played"
Now on to CoD. People say the same things about CoD, but sometimes to an even greater extent than Halo fanboys. I would play and CoD game and think "Alright, this is kind of fun, but now I'm ready to do something other than mindlessly shooting people" And they've kept a lot of the same aspects from the first game, which are:
Run n' Gun (the main one) Stupid AI's Unrealistic everything (and you'll have people saying how realistic it is)
The games are fun, but they're not what people crack them up to be, making them over rated, I'm pretty sure I explained CoD over ratedness enough in my first post. But if not, now there's a post where I go into greater detail.
most over rated is cod i heard people say it was good so i played it..... it is okay but gets boring after 1 prestige and for underrated is probably zelda because i go to school and all people people talk about is black ops and if you mention zelda or portal they laugh at you and call you a gay.
I agree with y'all saying the CoD series is overrated. The series used to be pretty great, but I just don't understand how the series is still incredibly popular.
I have played MW2 and Black Ops a lot at my friends house and we agree that they can be a lot of fun if you play split screen and just fool around casually, but playing online can be very frustrating because people take it so seriosly that they'll do anything to get a good K/D. I also hate the spawning system.
The campaings are just ridiculous with all that action movie type stuff. They also make war look cool and the games have a sort of "America is the greatest" point of view (there are many other series that are like that too though).
After playing MW2 for a while I just started hating it. When I played Black Ops for the first time it seemed a lot better at first, but now I hate that one too.
Call of Duty and Halo are two overrated titles. I mean, they're good games, but not "ZOMG TEH BEST FPS'ES EVOOR!". They just give you a new campaign and probably a few minute things fixed online; they're not worth $60 to me. I'd rather wait a few months and get them for $20 or $30.
