Why would I need to provide evidence? I'm offering speculation based upon information freely available on Wikipedia and my knowledge of the region. Pakistan isn't a *****, but they stand no chance again America. What more information do you seriously need?

The world was dominated by Britain in the lead up to WWII and it wasn't until during and after the war that America establish itself as the economic and militaristic superpower it is today. The last war fought on your soil was when the British and Americans, with their lust for war, saved your pathetic country from the Germans in a bloody campaign full of heroes. No Dutch ones though. You claim to have been in combat, but how can that possibly be true if if you believe those soldiers could've outrun a grenade? Are you sure you weren't getting confused while playing Battlefield?
And yes the German soldiers were heroes. They fought just as bravely for their country and compatriots as we did. Just because you have no sense of honour and refuse to respect the bravery of soldiers shows more for your closed-mindedness than anything else.
I personaly dont respect any soldiers who participating in any form for attack. The only soldiers that truly should be honored are those who defending.
That soldier who jumped at the grenade is not a hero. He didnt save any civilians by doing that. He saved some soldiers.
Being brave and being a hero is 2 diffrent things. What he did was brave, not heroic
I see your point but heroic is defined as behaviour or talk which is bold or dramatic, which it was. Besides what makes a soldiers life worth less than a civilian? I didn't know patriotism and a sense of duty to your country was considered a bad thing.

I guess it is the weapon, atleast if I should guess ^^ And also they have choicen to be soldiers, and by choosing the path of a soldier, they also accept the consequences.
In the other hand, civilians havent taken that path. So those consequences dont applies for them

So for a man to jump on a grenade and save his squadmates, and risk his own life, hes an idiot? Lets propose a hypothetical situation:
Lets say that you're in a typical combat squad in Afghanistan. You've got your ARs, your LT, your SGT, etc, etc. Suddenly, you're ambushed by insurgent groups. In the midst of the firefight, you notice something bump against your foot. You look down, and its an HE Grenade. For the sake of the demonstration, lets suppose that its K/C range is just a mere five meters (Its a very small HE Grenade).
You basically have four options:
1) Gawk at it until it explodes. You're gonna lose your legs, and then you'll bleed out. More likely though, is that the blast concussion will kill you instantly, and you'll be dead before your body hits the ground.
2) Yell and run franctically. Being generous, lets say it has a five second fuse. Thats one second to pull, one second in the air, and say, half a second for you to register that its a 'nade and to think of what to do. So you've got 2.5 seconds to run 5 meters. Your squadmates will probably hear your yelling, or see you running, and then will notice the grenade. That'll give them even less time to run. So while you *may* live, those around you will most likely die. So if you can look at yourself in the mirror, its all cool, right?
3) Thow the grenade away. Honestly, probably the stupidest thing you can do. While its on the ground, most of the blast force would be directed downwards. Now, that its in the air, you've just increased the K/C range through the blast concussion. Whose side are you on?
4) Jump on the grenade. You're most likely going to die anyways. Again, you've got about 2.5 seconds to GTFO of there, and those around you would have even less time.
Jumping on a grenade isn't stupid, especially if you know you'll likely die trying to do something else. If I knew I would die, then hell yeah I'd jump on it. Atleast those around me could carry on the fight. And besides, most terrorist just use the RPG-7. It can take out humvees, and it explodes on contact. Fun stuff.

So the mere fact that a person holds a gun instantly devalues their life? While a soldier has accepted the risk that come with his profession, that is no grounds for a belittlement of their humanity.
If what you say is true, then what about police officers? My uncle is a cop, and he has had to shoot a person to save an innocent civillian. So does that mean my Uncle is worth less as a person, even those his actions helped to save a life?
Just some facts.
Pakistan has 180 Million People [About half of America's, we'll say]
It has that is 1.5 times the size of California. [So super dense].
Pakistan has a low literacy, like 68 percent?
The Military controls the policy:
It has the 7th largest standing army in the world.
It is one of the largest banking, industrial, and landholding entities in the country
In terms of politics, most people aren't too pro-American
In terms of life-style, the people there are more willing to go to war. Not to mention, this possible war would be on their land, making them even more possible for going to war.
Lastly, it has nukes.
If we throw all of this together and say US V. Pakistan, it would just be a pointless bloodbath.
In terms of Allies, I'm sure Pakistan can pull through with the Muslim countries to its West, at best in financial aid.
Also, if this were to happen, the US could no longer use Afghanistan as a helper spot, since Afghanistan would probably become hostile.
In the air and water, Pakistan would probably lose.
But if America tried to 'conquer' Pakistan or 'wipe them off the face of the Earth' -- it would be impossible/suicide.
Also, if you guys are thinking of the possibilities of foreign involvement, then I'm also quite sure that it is likely China would support Pakistan.
In the end, Pakistan would lose, but I doubt it would ever go that far, and the idea of America conquering Pakistan sounds like nonsense.
And all of this is disregarding the idea of nuclear warfare.

You forget that India and Pakistan are arch-enemies on the Middle East playground. If we lose Afghanistan as a staging point, we'd just gain India.
Pakistan couldn't nuke America, because It'd be shot down well before it ever made it to the continent. Pakistan nuking Europe is probable, though it depends on when this 'war' happened as America is upgrading the missile defense stations there. Pakistan nuking India is the most likely, for obvious reasons.
Just my thoughts.

You fail to realize that when one country uses one nuke, every other nuclear power has the go ahead to nuke wherever they want. And why would you want to waste weapons only to get blown up? Because not only will your nuke not make it to the U.S., but then we'll get to launch our arsenal (many more nukes than all the nuclear powers combined). So tell me, are you still wanting your nuclear bloodbath?
