Sometimes a christian will ask you what if you were wrong? What if Jesus really was the son of God and had really come to save us for our sins. Some of you would say he isn't the son of God and that God doe's not exist. How do you know your not lying to yourself? How do you know were you are going when you die? What if you were wrong?
Because i'm not taking random statements and claims and basing a large portion of my life on it. I am not taking what is not there and inventing random stuff to believe in.
How do you know were you are going when you die?
No one, including religious people, "know" what's going to happen when they die. The most logical conclusion any thinking person can make is that our conciousness will end once our brain dies, and we will simply cease to exist.
I'm atheist so science is my guide, if they actualy proved that god was real then I would go with the flow.
How do you know were you are going when you die?
What I did was I based it on how all other living things die, they just stop living and nothing else happens other than my body will be cremated (hopefuly). I got a question for you, why are you so sure that we are the ones lieing to ourselves?
Because every time a disaster strikes some of the atheists say: "It was your God that let this happen." Some say that every time we thank God for letting us live anather day.
Honestly, this question doesn't really matter. So okay, Atheist X is wrong. So what? He can't change it anymore, he's burning/whatever. Same for anyone of the 'wrong' religious denomination.
Some say that every time we thank God for letting us live another day.
because you guys worship, in all honesty, a huge ****. i mean he wiped out the planet multiple times. all forgiving? i think not. Come on even Satan seems nicer seeing as he killed a miniscule fraction than god
either way if i'm wrong then i'll be happy to go to hell, a gift shop with no tax? awww yeah
If we're wrong, we're wrong. But we don't think we're wrong, or rather, we see no reason to think you're right. There are plenty of threads discussing Christianity so I'm going to lock this thread.
