What is it about dubstep that is so appealing to this young generation? Personally, I just think it's further proof that music is depreciating over time. I'm almost afraid to see what it's going to be like in 5 years.
I think dubstep is okay but my brother loves the stuff maybe I'll ask him to see what his favorites are then write another reply. But I do think its cool that they can just take random noises without patterns and make it sound good.

I have to rant on Xarea's post, Skrillex IS NOT DUBSTEP he mixes between some random EDM genre and DnB, his songs sound like dubstep, but is not.

You have to find good Dubstep, most mainstream mixes are just really, really bad and shouldn't be considered dubstep because the actual genre name is brostep for those kind of songs with random *** wobbles anywhere.

it's not that its overrated it's just to commercial these days , so like with most things that suddenly get rather mainstream it's the underground djs and the ones that are at it for the last years that are really good , i like dub , but i like alot of other things too , but calibre is awesome and so is excision and i like flux pavilion

Skrillex is not a dubstep producer. I find it very irritating and annoying when people consider him a dub producer, only because he inserts wobbles anywhere he can. And also, UKFdubstep has the worst songs ever, you should research a little on the field of MM or 16bit
