Not comparable. Halo and COD are both FPS games focused on pvp, while Infamous is a third person action game based on moral choices and a compelling story.
You can't compare two HUGE franchises to infamous. infamous is good, but it can never be close to what CoD and Halo are. So, basically what Gstroy said.
Infamous is a fun little game capitalizing off the Fable Fallout of "Moral Choice" combined with cosmetic changes based on your moral standing. While Infamous takes it a step farther by making certain powers Bad Only or Good Only, it just limits the amount of options people have, and is a cheap way to make people replay the game.
Infamous is unfortunately one of the few "This Gen" franchises that didn't shock the world. Dead Rising, Gears of War, Resistance, Uncharted, and the biggee, Assassin's Creed, have made their mark, but Infamous just feels like its trying to ride on the Spiderman and Fable coattails.
Its also worth mentioning that Infamous had the unfortunate timing of being released at the same time as two other "superhero" games. Technically, two other "Superhero" games. [PROTOTYPE] was based around an anti-hero, and Batman doesn't really have any superpowers. Despite that, the genre was a bit flooded in the summer of 09, and everyone was too busy freaking out over Arkham Asylum to care about Prototype or Infamous anyway...
The biggest thing that sets Infamous apart from Halo and Call of Duty is the fact that, well, Halo and Call of Duty are mother F*cking HALO AND CALL OF DUTY!
They're the two biggest FPS' out there (quickly followed by Battlefield), one put the console FPS on the map, the other changed the way all FPS's are made for nearly half a decade. Halo has a rich lore and its score alone sets itself miles ahead of Infamous. The life in characters such as SSgt. Johnson and WWII Captain Price were heads over the competition back in their day, and still stand as some of the greatest characters of all time, as opposed to the gravel-grinding droning we get from Cole...
So, Infamous vs Call of Duty and Halo? The two series with the best stories, characters, gameplay, and overall originality (BEFORE 2008 FOR CALL OF DUTY) obliterate the Fable-wannabe Infamous.
Woah buddy, hold on a sec... Did you just say Infamous was bad? Infamous has original gameplay, an amazing story, and Cole(although very gritty) is extremely(That's about how I would react in the situation he was in). And Infamous 2 just improved everything about the game(other than stripping you of your powers at the beginning).
As already pointed out, there are at least two stickies this has become a duplicate to. In this situation I would elect a third as the one to go to: The [vs]/fave game thread located at the top of the topic listing. Due to the poor quality of vs-thread as well as situations like this when several games fall under different categories, as well as avoiding fan-wars, it seems easier and better to use the stickied threads rather than making new threads.
