After eminem it's probably Jay-Z. Lil Wayne might have good lyrics but his voice is crap. Jay-Z has a lot of good songs out there I like his and Kanye's new album too.

I don't like eminem, he's always so angry.
Like "You mad bro?" much

I would have to say that I think either The Game, Chamillionaire or Busta Rhymes. In Look At Me Now Busta Rhymes is so sick.

I have to agree on Busta Rhymes, he's really awesome with his speed-of-light style of rapping, no one can copy that! =)

But I haven't seen anyone mention Rakim?! How come?! This guy's versatile and on the beat, like it should be done! Just listen to Guess Who's Back? and tell me I'm wrong! =D

And the KING-MC of all is someone everybody forgot as it seems... you know "Ladies Love Cool J", right?! He's done more for the rap industry than any of the others! Straight... =)

Has anyone mentioned Lupe Fiasco? I 'discovered' him a couple of months ago and really rather like his work.

See, now I'm ashamed of myself. I knew I should've included someone other than Nas way back when I first posted in this thread. Indeed, Rakim is awesome.

Thanx for backing me up with Rakim there AgathaB! Now let's just convince those other AG users about his awesomeness! =D

And what do you think of L.L.CoolJ.? Good, bad? =)

You're a veritable goldmine of hip hop recs, Mr. Cee. I tend to forget the artists I don't listen to constantly, and my music library really should be indexed because I can't find my way through it.

LL Cool J usually has pretty sweet beats. So yeah, good.

I own a truckload of CD's, but I was so wise to start to alphabetise them a long time ago! Works like a charm! And whenever you're bored, just place your finger at 'A', move right... and stop at a certain point, take out that CD and listen! Always a surprise! =D

And yes, he's the ladies man allright! The beats are a mere way or luring the ladies towards him... better name would have been 'Sneaky-MC' there! LOL

If you want more info on rappers, just have a look at this Wiki article about Rappers in general, loads of info in there!

Doesn't hurt that he doesn't look too bad with his shirt off... :P

If it helps to remind me which artists I actually have in my collection, then sure, I'll give it a read through.

Has anyone mentioned Cypress Hill in this thread? They're probably what I listen to most out of the hip hop genre (and I went to a concert of theirs last year and it was fantastic).

I'm not into men like that, but I couldn't agree more there!

Has anyone mentioned Cypress Hill in this thread?

I don't think they have been mentioned yet, no...
...well yes, now you mentioned them, they technically are!
LOL

But it's a great addition to the list for sure!!! =)

I thought so. I do like Cypress Hill. Although some people find them annoying.

That's what different likings in music are for, a wide variety of interests for people to talk about! =)

And I have to admit... I know "Cypress Hill", but only from their one hit "Insane In The Brain" to be honest... sorry! =/

Tell you what... I listened to the song just now when I looked it up for the link and I suddenly thought of some GREAT rap songs!

# House Of Pain - Jump Around
# Naughty By Nature - O.P.P.
# There's a Dutch MC that made a real cool song, "Time" by "MC Pryme", but I can't seem to find the song on YT?! Guess nobody uploaded it or it has been removed already... =(
# Tres Delinquentes - Delinquent Habits
# Kid Frost - La Raza

And my personal favorite HipHop track of all times!!

King Bee - Back By Dope Demand EPIC!!!

What do you think?! =D
