Then the machine gunners spread out in the back of the defensive position behind cover. Blutrescu and the unnamed MG set up, and Blutrescu watches excitedly for any enemies.

Metzinger runs to assist Richthofen. Beckenbauer does the same, after convincing Wagner that close quarters combat is not the best place for a sniper. Straussenberg stays near the back of the compound, partly because he's scared, partly to hold the fallback position in case Richthofen and the others are driven back. All of the pilots and medics set up shop in the center, with the exception of the medic, Wernher Gottschlieben. He runs to the flank that's being attacked, hoping to help anyone who survived the initial blast.

Gottschlieben tries to patch as many of them up as possible. After a few minutes of this, Boross runs to the flank as well, and drags those who Gottschlieben can't help, back to the center so that maybe the other medics can help. Metzinger searches the bodies of the fallen soldiers for anything that will help against the tanks. The snipers Kazhislov and Wagner open fire on the Americans, as does the unnamed MG. Blutrescu provides cover fire for Richthofen, who jumps on a tank and waits for someone to open the hatch, then chucks a grenade in and shuts the hatch, and jumps off the tank. Beckenbauer and Heiskanen both advance and engage in close quarters combat.

Boross: he finds the carnage, and can't move past the americans
Snipers & UMG: they open fire, but a round explodes the scope on wagner's rifle, almost causing him to lose an eye
