I want to make a thread like this, for all of the people to post their stories of hope. It keeps us going. I think it would be great to know what gifts people can give to the world.

Wow!

I uh... I live because I do.
I want to change the world in a big way and have delusions of grandure ;P

I would gladly give my life for what I percieve to be worth it. I would gladly NOT give my life and still do the percieved "worth it" thing tho...

hey guys, i like this thread, but keep it real. Nothing suicidal. I don't want to sway somebody else into suicide. Also no killing people, I don't want a mess, and that is just common sense.

I live to give to others, to change their lives. I would gladly give all of my possessions and help to someone who really needs it. My pride is in my giving. I just feel connected to all of the poor people in pain, depression, and any other illness. i would give a whole bunch to them. I live to see a better world before I die.

That's where I'm at too. Trying not to die carelessly or too soon. I'd die for a worthy cause, but I'd like to live to support that cause until that time comes.

Nothing suicidal.

Suicide is never worth it, even in the worst of times. The main reason people do it is because they can't find something worth living for. That's mainly due to the materialistic society we live in. Instead of reaching out to people and finding a purpose, they try to surround themselves with the things society says will bring joy (like money or a fancy object), but those things fail to create any true meaning. People stress about things that don't really matter instead of trying to focus on what does matter.

I live to give to others, to change their lives.

I give a lot as well. It will probably be the only thing I'll be remembered for, not that I'm doing it to be remembered. I do it for the joy it brings to others in need. The problem with giving is that it usually feels better to give than to receive. I only give to those truly in need to minimize 'hilanthropic glee' to myself because otherwise it would feel like I'm doing it to get almost a quick high from giving.

"Suicide is never worth it, even in the worst of times"

I agree one hundred percent with this statement, it shows the dignity of life. If you can get past suicide, there will be no end to the joys of life, and no end to you thinking that you were glad that you did not leave this world for the sad times that were a hell for you. Live to live. i will support you one hundred percent.

Survival. I don't believe in a religion and death still scares me. I just really, really don't want to die. At all. If I had the will and resources to look into possible immortality, I most definitely would.
