I can't really think of one favourite that I have mastered... I haven't really "mastered" that many games anyway. Any game in the Grand Theft Auto series can be a lot of fun. Every time I play San Andreas I realize that I have played it too much. I know tons of weapon, armor, and vehicle spawns and I could easily write a walkthrough for all of the missions in the game. I know almost all tricks and secrets there are and sometimes I just feel like I'm the king of San Andreas. So that game has been a lot of fun to master.
Some shooters can be fun to master too. I have played Battlefield 3 a lot with a friend of mine at their house and although I'm definitely not a master at playing it, it's really cool to notice how much progress I have made. Learning the maps and different tactics, getting better at using vehicles to your advantage and unlocking more stuff to use in the battle is awesome.
I think that the funnest game to master is Brink. The game didn't get good reviews, but it's still a very fun and skillfull game. It's fun to master it because you can master it in different ways with different characters, and when you master it there's a lot more "epic" moments, but the epic moments aren't scripted like it other games. It's just you getting better as a player. I also like it because it's really fun getting up to when you've mastered it. unlike some games where you can't do anything until you are extremely good.
ive noticed that only old games are fun to master (to me). i never liked to master rpgs etc. because then they just get too easy. but knowing the secrets in mario, old zelda, old sonic, starfox etc. were really awsome.
Only games that I really master are the Final Fantasy series. Even Dissidia Ive mastered since I played alot of fighting games before I got into RPG types.
I loved mastering the combat in Batman: Asylum/City. It's awesome when you get into a fight with tons of baddies on hard and emerge unscathed - just like the Bat should.
One to me would have to be Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Yeah, the story isn't that long, but it's fun to complete the whole game by doing all the side missions and other things to get 100% completion.
games i have mastered are super mario wii, The world ends with you, zelda, and sonny from Krin. Games that i would like to master are halo, shooter games, and overall xbox games.
For me it's Dark Souls. The game can be very punishing and rewarding to those that play. I just need to get one more trophy for the platinum though I don't think I'll be able to stop playing it after that.
To me it's the Quake series. The majority of old games are also fun because they're alot harder to be good at as all of them are alot harder than todays games. I would respect someone who's a master at Turok than a 10th prestige in MW3.
Mario Kart 64. There are far more tricks, than the most ppl are thinking. But nobody of my pals wanted to play with me anymore. And I agree with BRAAINZz, mastering old games is often a lot harder. Try to master the first ''R-Type'', for example.
Oh, and another one since we're talking about older games would be Spyro for the PS1. I remember when I would get frustrated at some parts because I couldn't find enough eggs, but I replayed it a few months ago and it was so fun. I still have a bunch of games for my PS1 that I'm considering mastering.
Do you mean going through a game (i.e. point a to point b), or to become better than the average standards asked by the game (like owning super-hard on pokemon puzzle league, very hard on ssbm without sweating it, etc...).
