You know how whenever you see a locked forum, sometimes it will say [ans] at the beginning of the title to let AG users know that that thread is locked; due to the fact that the addressed question has already been answered? But what's the point? I thought most forums were made for discussion. . .
Yes, most forums were made for discussion, but if it is a specific question then there would be an answer. Once the question is answered (usually by a mod) then it would be locked.

Like Rayce002 said if the question is answered then a mod will lock it. That way people will not just spam on that thread it order to get points. Even when it is locked people can still go to the thread, just not post on it.
