This thread is just what the title says it is. It is all about Math. You can post math jokes(the jokes don't have to be good), math questions, what you like about Math, or even why you hate Math.
My math joke: Resistance is not futile. It is voltage divided by amps.
Math. ugh....... Nothing good to say about it really. I guess I don't like it because my 4th grade teacher obsessed over it and had us do 100 middle-school level math problems and only 60 seconds to do so. then after that I did 8th grade math in 7th grade, and high school math in 8th grade. now that I am entering high-school, I don't know how it will be. No, I am not a fan of math. my math joke: Why couldn't the blonde write the number 11? A: she didn't know which "1" came first. not really funny but oh well

I did the same thing, but when I took algebra in 8th grade, the teacher was trying to follow the curriculum the high school was doing. She messed up. We skipped some important chapters and did some unimportant chapters. To compensate, the teacher rushed through the most important stuff like factoring and the quadratic formula. It was a class full of advanced students and many failed. I passed, but since it didn't count for high school credit anyway, I took it again the next year.

That sucks. You will learn that you do something in 1 math class and then never do it again. Some of it is still useful but some of it I would never know when to use.
What is "i"? Mathematician: Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Engineer: Pi is about 22/7. Physicist: Pi is 3.14159 plus or minus 0.000005 Computer Programmer: Pi is 3.141592653589 in double precision. Nutritionist: You one track math-minded fellows, Pie is a healthy and delicious dessert!
Another activity, some of you may not know this. Alright so get out a piece of paper (If needed) Write down 3.14. Got it? Now put it backwards. What does it say?
trigonometry, Pythagoras' theorem or linear functions?
The basics of all 3 of those that you get taught in middle and early high school are all fairly easy and simple, it depends how complicated it's going to get. If it's going to get really hard, you're probably going to want to stick with the Pythagorean theorem or possibly linear functions, I'm not sure how hard those can get.
