Psssh...I would be good right where I"m at, right at home where I know the land. Hardly any population with plenty of weapons(I live out passed the country in a flood zone). Even have blade weapons too. Not to mention all the creeks and rivers by me, because as far as I know zombies can't swim in currents. So as long as the animals don't turn undead I should have food. Think my odds are in favor here...
it depends on the type of the zed. if the are fast but dumb, run. if they are slow AND dumb, move away from them and dont stand in a place for too long. if they are smart...well...HARAKIRI!!!
I still don't see why this isn't locked or in the Tavern, but, let's see if we can add some structure to this.
Scenario: The zombie pandemic is just underway. Currently, it is only in a few parts of the world. The general population knows about it and governments are attempting to cure/contain it. The majority of the population is not at risk currently, but the situation is rapidly worsening. The governments of the world have closed down all public international and country wide travel and has instituted quarantines in infected areas. You are a person inside one of these quarantined areas. Order is rapidly breaking down and looting is rampant. The police and military are present and have blockades set up at every major point of travel. Zombies are common enough that seeing one every time you change location is expected, and the chances of being attacked by a horde are not negligible. Now, what do you do?
Not to be cheesy or anything, speaking tactically Sun Tzu says in the art of war that if your force is outnumbered by the enemy you should not engage them in direct warfare. You should engage them in indirect warfare. Is that possible? Maybe... maybe not. He also speaks of death ground (I think its also spoken of in The Book of Five Rings but i'm not sure), ground where there is no hope of escape. On death ground there is nothing your men cannot achieve. Finally, zombies' advantage lies in their numbers. If you lure them into a choke point they are nothing but mindless bullet magnets.
Taking all those things into account i'm not scared of a Zombie Apocalypse. If i get eaten or infected oh well life sucks then maybe you die no matter what.
"Most people think life sucks, and then you die. Not me. I beg to differ. I think life sucks, then you get cancer, then your dog dies, your wife leaves you, the cancer goes into remission, you get a new dog, you get remarried, you owe ten million dollars in medical bills but you work hard for thirty-five years and you pay it back and then -- one day -- you have a massive stroke, your whole right side is paralyzed, you have to limp along the streets and speak out of the left side of your mouth and drool but you go into rehabilitation and regain the power to walk and the power to talk and then -- one day -- you step off a curb at Sixty-seventh Street, and BANG you get hit by a city bus and then you die. Maybe." - Denis Leary
If their the smart learning type then it makes it even easier since you can apply many more tactics to them whereas dumb zombies don't think so you can't figure out what they're thinking because they aren't.
Let's say these zombies are of the "I am Legend" kind (except for the sunlight thing). They learn, they're fast, they're strong, and they kill.
those are lame zombies. zombies should be slow and dumb. latly ive even seen zombies swim from a island. (can't remember movie name) i was like WTF!.. why are they still dressed up as zombies when in fact they are just playing cannibals.
If they were I am legend type I would definitely die. I would have absolutely no chance against them. Though I would try. My family and I would wear clothing that would be tough to get through, take our weapons and head out to a better city. Or at least reach the military.
Have y'all ever seen the old night of the living dead. It was a great movie and the zombies were like the zombieland zombies but actually slightly smart
