I think this is better suited in the Tavern. But, anyway, I would search my house for any weapons, hole up for a bit, then head out, constantly moving, avoiding the zombies.
really? i would move to the closest walmart. and fortify it with all kinds of stuff. i would wield down tires to the doors. use the shelves and barricades in the back. and move all the storage to the front

Isn't that kind of a beacon for everyone? If you're lucky, it won't be completely looted by the time you get there. If you're unlucky, some violent thugs already fortified it. Even if you take it over, people will come seeking shelter every day. You won't have enough supplies to help them all for a long time. Eventually, a more skilled group will take it from you and likely kill you in the process out of desperation.

Complete freedom? Complete freedom to die. You do realize that you can't live without other humans doing everything for you? Farmers give you food. Workers let you get water that won't kill you. Factory workers build the bullets. You can't even get a shirt without someone making it.
Assuming that a zombie invasion happened, I would take my family and run north. Or south, if I feel like it. Really anywhere with an extreme climate. From what I know about human bodies, they are horribly week without a brain, one winter and the zombies would all die in a place like northern Canada or Russia or a summer in any desert. Then I would find other people and get a civilization started back up. Since the zombies would be killed by the weather, the locations that I arrive out will have the most survivors, thereby making that part easy to.

You don't get it, do you? Living in complete terror at all times isn't living at all. You're dead with them, just in an entirely different way.
Sure, you have freedom, but is living in fear knowing that around the next corner could be the end of you really freedom? It's not, and none but a psychopath could truly thrive in that world.
