Ive been playing the games on this site for a few years now. and what ive noticed is that alot of the games that have a low rating have absolutly no story line. coincidence? I dont think so. I think if you have a pretty good storyline the graphics and gameplay only become a small part of it. Of course the game has to be fun and entertaining but alot of the games on here have little to know storyline thus giving us nothing to remember them by. but the ones with a story line give us all something to remember. something that keeps us coming back and replaying them. Im just suggesting that the game devolpers on the site give more thought to the plot.
For the majority of those users, they are just 8 year olds claiming to be older than they are.
@Jazzpenda
I agree, i judge a game on how much i enjoy the game more than anything else. If it is fun, i will play it again and again. Music, graphics etc are just things that have an impact on the gameplay itself.
I think you may have mis-read the word majority and i am sure that moderators like you are trying to prevent things like this. If they are not 8 years old on the outside, they are on the inside.
i really don't care too much about the story line for a game, as long as it is fun some of my favorite games are games that have no story line at all, or a very minimal one.
Problem is that I in the first place was referring to the majority of the users in general. If the majority of the majority is underage, AG is looking at a huge problem that would shut them down completely. So, no, I didn't misread, I am just being more gloomy and pessimistic than I ought to be.
Yes, perhaps they are all kiddies on the inside. Or perhaps they are just typical teenagers that will have an opinion on everything, and will rate based on genre and not on the game itself. I don't know. I don't particularly care either. I am just pointing out that thinking that the ratings are this way due to refined thoughts might be thinking a bit too highly on the intentions of the common user.
I don't rate games anymore. I forget. I don't play often, but how I love games without a storyline. Out of the seventeen faved games I have, two of them have a clear storylines. The rest either have blurred storylines or none at all.
What this says about the matter, I don't know. However I still know developers don't check here, so you might want to contact them directly, if you want some kind of impact on their thoughts, Mastermad.
Games with excellent story lines are more likely to be played even if the game play is bad since an old ugly book with a good story is one you keep reading and a good story makes you want to know more-DT07
