It's because Dubstep has been blowing up in the media recently, and I personally liked it better when only few people listened to it. Yes, it is definitely over used because almost every kid listens to it nowadays =.=
When i grow up and have a child, i'm going to name it "the bass". That way, if i drop it, nobody will care.
I have heard that a couple times, but its still pretty funny. I don't like to listen to music all the time that just has a ton of bass. Although, I do have one medium-ish sized subwoofer behind the passenger seat of my car (was already there stock) and I do occasionally like to show it off a little. That and it gives the person in the passenger seat a great back massage.
