So, it has been suggested someone mad a free-for-all armatar contest. Now, considering there is no prize, and the armatars won't be chosen, I will rather consider it a challenge on fitting a piece of art into a 100x100 square.
Guidelines be stolen from the official AC: 1. Must be appropriate. Cannot be offensive or profane in nature. Try to keep it clean! 2. The entry must be square, and at least 100x100 pixels in dimension. 3. Must scale down well to 100x100. So if it is larger, make sure that it will still look good when it is scaled down to armatar size. A few suggestions about this: - Sometimes simple is better. If you go into a lot of detail, it might not look as great when you scale it down. So just keep in mind what the final size will be. - If you are able to do vector, that can help with the sharpness of the image. However, since they are so small this probably isn't a big issue.
Obviously it will be a good idea to pot a bigger version as well, either 200x200 or 300x300. And keep to the rules of site.

The theme will be winter for now, might change it in a week's time for fun. Go nuts.
Or you can use photoshop or any relevant program to crop out a square from the picture. Either that, or you have to redraw, since you can't take a rectangle and shrink it to a square without distorting the picture, or removing some of it, in this case, the snow flakes, since I'm assuming you want the bear inside.
@issue with square: You are obviously able to scale the drawing and resize it, you will have to do the same with the blank canvas, but obviously to a bigger scale. Or get gimp or paint.net.
@Using stock images: You will have to have made it all on your own, remember?
Anyway, theme change. If someone was working on something for pure winter, you may continue to get it done, but otherwise, I was to see some monsters of various kinds.
JPG is a lossy compression technique that is designed to compress color and grayscale continuous-tone images. The information that is discarded in the compression is information that the human eye cannot detect. JPG images support 16 million colors and are best suited for photographs and complex graphics. JPG does not work well on line drawings, lettering or simple graphics because there is not a lot of the image that can be thrown out in the lossy process, so the image loses clarity and sharpness. PNG on the other hand, does not lose detail when you compress or save it, hence if you have less detail, which you should since it's 100x100, PNG is better.
well i'm not going to make any other armatars anymore i have no inspiration and i may only be one hour at my pc, it takes much time to draw a piture i have created some n00by armatars so i did enough =)
