Tell me, people of the Flash Gaming community: What does a Flash Game do to you that makes ou enjoy them. What is it about them that makes you play them, sometimes for hours on end?
I have always loved the idea of a flash game. the fact that you can manipulate it, during the creative process, to emulate games you love or make something of a creative idea that you have come up with. I think the fact they they are so stunningly simple to play and master, yet so enjoyable that you cant stop playing is fantastic.
So go, your thoughts and oppinions will be greatly appreciated here!
Well the first thing a flash game needs for me to play it for a long time it that it needs something to get me hooked, whether it's a well-known developer or excellent graphics or something else. Then, it has to have many different ways to play the game so that it doesn't get boring after you beat it. For instance, after I beat Raze, I got bored of it quickly because I didn't enjoy quick play very much. But for bubble tanks 2, because there were many different options on upgrading your tank,, I played it for a very long time. An addicting game also could have multiplayer. Because the players' skill levels are always changing the game rarely would get old. Another thing some games have that makes them better is a good storyline in them, which for me adds to the overall fullness of the game. I can't really think of anything else to say... Thanks!
Like soccerdude2, there are a number of things that a flash game could have that'll have me hooked for a long while.
In general it's the availability and amazing creativity of flash games which makes them so appealing to me. The fact that they are here for us to try out and that they can be made by just about anyone is brilliant beyond words in my mind.
I think I mainly go for games that are "inspiring" in the sense that they make you think of things that'll let you see the world differently than you had before playing.
Flash games with a deep and almost story-telling plot grabs my attention every time. Those games really make you feel that you are part of it - an incredibly immersive experience which makes you break away from the everyday, if only for a few moments.
I sometimes go for the action and multiplayer games for the excitement and to see how your own skills in a game compares to that of others around the world. The winner here has to be meeting new people and gamers who are into the same stuff as you are yet still bring a brilliant flair to things.
That's all that I can think of. I just hope it wasn't too long
A flashgame who leads me to play, has atleast one of five of the things I like in games:
:Weapons :Levels :Upgrades :Achievements :Balanced gameplay, as in, a bit hard, a bit long, a bit that and a bit this.
I also like, in the flash games, that the games be quite challenging. And I don't really like stories, but I still play games with stories. And I also like stats and stat points. If there is ALL of them in a flash game, congratulations, 10/10 and a favorite.
A simple answer from me is: No need to install anything on the computer. And no need to put a CD or a DVD to play it. I just log in, play and that's it.
Well, something that makes a game flawless, after the things the above posts mention, is the playability. The character must be able to walk, jump and act exactly as you intend it to. Otherwise, you're more like fighting against the game itself than trying to improve your gamer skills. The game must give you an objective ofc, but also an implied objective - that you can be fully synched with the character you control.
