Bad health wise. Good wealth wise. I personally prefer In-N-Out because it's one of the cheapest, healthiest, best tasting fast food restaurants out there! *Plus pays good if you work there*
Why do people want to ban fast food? Is it the government's job to take care of us from cradle to grave? No! Once the government starts controlling one aspect, they want more and never give in. Fast food is another choice humans have to deal with. If you find it unhealthy and gross, then don't eat it. But let other people make that choice for themselves.
Fast Food is for people who do not have the time to sit down and have an actual meal; fast food is bad for you health wise and good wealth wise ((like Silentclore said).. it provides crappy jobs; but at least the workers get paid. But I rarely eat at fast food resturants...
Well, for you health, it's bad. However, use sparingly, it's okay. It is for people who have little time to eat and such. In-N-Out is the healthiest of the Fast Food restaurants in my opinion. You should only eat it about 2-3 weeks at least.
Fast food isn't so bad. Don't get me wrong; you shouldn't eat it every day. But if you exercise and eat well, it's no big deal. It does stimulate the economy quite a bit and provides a service people want.
I'm going to disagree with the people that think it's good wealth wise. You will be MUCH better off financially if you make food for yourself instead of eating out. Want a burger and fries? Instead of 5 dollars for a combo, you can make one for under a dollar. Want it hot? Use the microwave. People don't eat at fast food for health or for wealth; they eat it because it's convenient.
That being said, I've eaten at "fast food" once in the past 3 months or so.
Eating fast food doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. For the people who are saying that it makes you fat, you are wrong. Eating one burger that they offer you doesn't make them bad. You choosing to eat 5 dozen of their burgers a day makes your health choices bad. It is all about moderation, self control and taking responsibility for what we eat. We can't blame fast food companies for making us fat if we choose to eat there food frequently and in large amounts.
I think that this has a large part to do with the customer. If you eat fast food a lot, it is obviously not healthy. Of course, this is not the fast food chains fault, it is the fault of the customer who goes back to buy that greasy hamburger every day.
Personally, I don't like to eat much fast food. I usually only have it if I am on the road. After 6 hours driving somewhere, it is convenient to have something quick and portable. So in this way, fast food can be helpful. But if someone is doing this all the time, it can get very unhealthy very quickly.
