I was bored today and have decided to find all my old nostalgic pc games and play them again and thought why not make a thread about the best nostalgic games so here I am.
My favourites have to be Age of Empires II, Jurrassic park operation genesis, Age of Mythology, and Heroes might and magic III and IV they are all amazing games that I love playing even though they are years old.
Recently purchased the original Quake + mission packs on Steam, still to this day my favorite in the series for game play.
Still have Red Alert on my hard drive for the odd skirmish game and recently played through Fallout 2 again for the first time in ages (it may be one of the glitchiest games in history but I still love it!!)
it may be one of the glitchiest games in history but I still love it!!
Rofl. I bet on current "AAA" titles. Fallout 2 bugs with description - 5-6 pages A4. Skyrim bugs with description - 50+pages. (can't check wiki atm - site disabled for anti-SOPA flashmob)
My first real PC game was Civilization III, and everytime I boot up a game of Civ V after looking over my (now extensive) Steam Library, I think back to the days of old, when I would do anything for that one more turn in Civ III.
Age of Empires 1 & 2, Rome expansion pack, Cesar, Cesar II, Pharaoh, Cleopatra, Patrician, etc. I still play with Age of Empires1, and Roman Expansion. I like to use cheats to make it more fun like using the Big Bertha, the photon man & Nuke Trooper codes. I like to build a roman Colosseum, put 50 priests in it with 50 Lion Kings, crank up the volume and watch them getting mauled to death. It makes me laugh every time. xD
Or put 30 Alligator King surrounded by woods and when the enemy woodcutters open a path, all the alligators start devouring them. xD
Or I use only 4 photon man against 3 enemies with full technology and max people. It makes the game challenging.
Anything made by Bullfrog is pretty much golden. Also X-com. And Fallout. And Diablo. And Civ. And LucasArt games. Ok, I should stop, I could keep going for a while.
