So this is the "Official Question/Favourite Item of the Week" thread!
Isn't it exciting?

Since everyone has recently shown an interest in asking and answering random questions, I've decided to make this thread. That way the Tavern will not be cluttered up, but such things may be spoken about.

Any other threads asking about favourites or asking a random question shall be locked on sight at the discretion of the moderation team. Notice that some threads asking a question may still exist. Those threads actually harbour some actual discussions.

Each week, a new question/favourite will be asked, and the thread title will be changed to reflect it. As in the other forums, please make sure to keep responses to a reasonable length (IE more than 1-3 words). Inappropriate or spammy responses will be deleted by the moderation team.

So let's get this thing going then! Starting topic:

What is your favourite operating system (such as Windows, Mac, Linux, etc..) and why?

What makes you feel empowered, powerful, or just plain awesome?

Alcohol tends to have that effect on me. The problem is, drunk power is sober stupidity, so when I experience power of that sort, more often than not I end up doing something incredibly stupid.

Hewlett Packard.

Oh, and i think knowledge makes me powerful.

Knowledge doesn't necessarily make you powerful on its own. How you choose to use it is what makes you powerful.

Yes, it does tend to make one feel invincible. Can't say I haven't been down that road before.

@Ernie15
I would go a step further by saying it's how you use the knowledge with subordinates makes you either powerful or just simply a tyrant.

What makes me powerful is that I'm a parent.

That depends on your definition of power or how you feel powerful, which is used very loosely here.

Aight, I wanted to leave the old question up just so we can get more replies (and so I wouldn't have to start right on a new page). So the next one is a Favorite. We haven't done any Favorites yet.

What are your top 5 best, most specialist candy companies?

And now for another question! What makes you feel empowered, powerful, or just plain awesome?

Women. *Suchalesbian*

What are your top 5 best, most specialist candy companies?

1. Wonka [Because wonka candy is so hard to get my hands on here and nerds make me go absolutely bonkers]
2. Haribo.
3. Perfetti Van Melle.
4. Cadbury.
5. Mars.

#1 Ghirardelli
makes the smoothest dark chocolate candy, cocoa powder, baking bars, all yum!

#2 Hersheys
makes the most affordable cocoa powder and the Special Dark is especially good.

#3 Any chocolate from Belgium, Switzerland or anywhere between.

#4 I don't know the name of the company,(or, companies) that still make old-fashioned hard candies but I love it! From the ribbon to the sours, all good!

#5 The very best candy bar I've ever eaten was the Mars Bar and I haven't seen it on the shelves since the early '90's but I hope Mars still makes it.

Skittles are so awesome

Yes.

Anyway, I don't remember and don't want to look up the companies, but:
Snickers
Three Musketeers
Butterfingers
Skittles
Twizzlers

Whatever companies made those candies are my favourite.

1) Hershey's: What can I say, I love my chocolate. The Cookies and Creme one is great.

2) M&M's: They are great since they are small so you can just grab a handful when you want them.

3) Toblerone: I have only had this once but this is like heaven. God it is good.

4) Reese's Cup: I am not a big peanut butter fan but Reese's makes it work.

5) Snickers: Cannot really say much but they are pretty good
