I think the kinect is better because even though the Wii allows body movement, the kinect has no remotes or any glitches. That is why the Kinect win the battle against the Wii.

I disagree. I think the Wii wins because when you play Kinect for the first time. it does not sense you and makes your avatar move in very weird ways.

No controlers isn't that great thing. After all most games feel more natural with controler (excluding sports games, dancing games and some fighting games.

And glitches??? I have 30 good games and 2 bad games for Wii and none of them have control glitches. On the other side I've played 3 Kinect games and their reactions weren't that flawless (Sonic Riders - mainly 2 player controls suck, Fable 3 - RPG without buttons just doesn't work, Michael Jackson - now this is hilarious - this should be kind of game which Kinect is made for !)

Also Wii currently has quite a lot of great games. Kinect has only two games which are considered good. Forza Motorsport 4 (wii wheel would still feel more natural) and Kinect Sports (nothing special - just show-off of Kinect's controls)

In terms of tech? Get the Kinect version over Wii.

You know Deadliest Warrior, how they put the little black boxes on the swords to determine speed, direction, etc? That's the thing behind the Wii. It only recognizes a fraction of what the Kinect does.

The Kinect recognizes the entire body, much more advanced tech, combined with voice recognition, the potential sets the bar high for the "Xbox 720".

Kinect has only two games which are considered good.

That's not entirely true. You should avoid Rise of Nightmares like the plague, but The Gunslinger, Child of Eden, Kinect Sports, Zumba, Just Dance 3, Fruit Ninja Kinect, and the kid-friendly Once upon a Monster display the ability to craft excellent experiences using the power of full-body recognition. The voice recognition even made its way into Halo Anniversary, Forza 4, and will be used in the upcoming-to-be-awesome Mass Effect 3. Hell, have you seen Ghost Recon Futuresoldier's Kinect capabilities?

Despite all that, Wii has the two Zelda games, WiiWare, No More Heroes, Brawl, Red Steel 2, MadWorld, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Mario Party 8, and the Mario Galaxy games, among many others I have probably forgotten. Despite all the other bad games, the Wii has 5 years of a pretty strong library compared to the 1-odd year old Kinect.

It's a bit of a tie, but if one was to buy both they'd come out at around 300 odd dollars, and squirreling away for a couple of weeks for both isn't really asking for too much.

Child of Eden

Okay I didn't know about this one.

The Gunslinger

Can't find this one anywhere.

Kinect Sports

I said it too.

Zumba

Really? You can do Zumba even without games.

Just Dance 3

Just Dance is avaible even for WII and PS MOVE isn't it?

Fruit Ninja Kinect

It doesn't differ that much from mobile version

Once upon a Monster

I remember this one from E3. It looks horrible.

Despite all that, Wii has the two Zelda games, WiiWare, No More Heroes, Brawl, Red Steel 2, MadWorld, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Mario Party 8, and the Mario Galaxy games, among many others I have probably forgotten.

Yup but most of those games are better than those best Kinect games
also those are not ONLY good wii games (I know you didn't say it. I'm just pointing that out so nobody's gonna ***** about this)

Despite all the other bad games, the Wii has 5 years of a pretty strong library compared to the 1-odd year old Kinect.

But Kinect's not gonna live too long - after all it's supposed to be addon.

My other problem is if you don't own XBOX 360 Kinect costs twice as much as Wii.

Wut.The Wii with a game(Mario Kart,Wii sports resort etc.)Does like 150â¬,which is almost 200 bucks.

Anyways,I recommend the Wii because it has Virtual Console,WiiWare and don't get me started on the good games.

I like the kinect because it's easeir to use than the wii. Besides, we have yet to experiance more from the kinect. Microsoft will find a way to make amazing games for it.

Yes , but it's more fun with the kinect. It's less troublesome without those Wii remotes.

Another reason why I like kinect is because They can be used for family game night. Mostly people have been focused on really trashy games. The Kinect brought more clean games to the table.

Do you really think that Microsoft would pour all that money into this advanced tech and only support it for the few remaining years of their console's lifetime? It's actually been announced that the "720" will have more integral Kinect support, something on IGN mentioned "finger recognition" or something like that.

It actually would make sense now why they abandoned the on-board processor that was originally planned for the Kinect, because they can now have it just rely on the massive amount of processing power the new system will provide.

That's exactly what I think. Xbox 720 is (most likely) coming next year and it will probably have upgraded Kinect too (or maybe IT WILL BE upgraded kinect)(I know those are just romours). This way they wouldn't lose any money. They would only profit. And original Kinect would live for only 1 or 2 years.
