I think the kinect is better because even though the Wii allows body movement, the kinect has no remotes or any glitches. That is why the Kinect win the battle against the Wii.

Kinect is so better. You don't have to use a controller, instead ur the controller.

Merely the main force behind the tech, not necessarily a solid reason as to why the Kinect is superior to anything else. I mean, if all the Kinect games were just about waving your hands and doing nothing else, then the peripheral would be horrendous, while still falling under the description you just gave it.

Try to actually give solid reasons with meat and potatoes, not just pieces of paper that should hold the meaty parts of your argument.

That'S probably because Wii wasn't made for exercises (like Kinect) how most of people think. It's meant for games. Most of the most succesful games don't have any motion control at all (SSBB) or have it minimaly (SMG 1 and 2)

With all due respect, the Kinect is indeed unique because it reads motion from the player itself instead of a remote but, the Wii was technically the 1st to incorporate motion-sensitive game mechanics. So for this I side with the Wii, also safer cause with all that motion with the Kinect you might accidentally hit someone.

Being 1st in something doesn't make it the best. Also trust me it's posible to hit someone accidently with wii motion plus.

It was the first of the two systems debated here. Motion controls have been around for a long time before the Wii, a notable example is the Playstation EyeToy.

I have only read about Kinect and PS Move. so maybe it is best if I stay out of this but..... I'm satisfied with my Wii. it would be good if someone combined the two concepts so that you can have full body control without giving up the feel of a controller.

Althought Wii has better controlling system with remotes theres a lot more kewl games for kinect! So theres no real chance for Wii in the sight of poor game development!

Do you have any idea how false that is? My cousin had to go to the hospital because he got injured from a Wii remote.

I have to give some credit to Wii being the first major motion activated game system following the add ons to the Xbox (kinect) and PS3 (PSM) but since Kinect has no need for remote which has been in the way for me throwing it around on accident. so i have to give it to the Kinect

Both suffer from a lack of developers who actually know how to use them to their full potential. Except the Wii has Nintendo behind it, who are geniuses at everything they do.
So in terms of actual games, the Wii.

But honestly? Kinect is the future. That sort of technology, if someone ever figured out how to implement it creatively and interestingly, could make the Wii and PS Move look like cavemen sticks.
Think of the virtual reality possibilities. Controllers are a thing of the past with Kinect. There's nothing they can't do that it shouldn't theoretically do better.
Theoretically.

Wii. If you want to play Kinect, you need a lot of room and I dont have much room in my room, so to speak, and it freezes a lot. Wii, its simple, not hard to control, so in my opinion Wii>Kinect.
