I've had an AG account for a while now and i am around 600 or so, but I wouldn't say I'm very recognizable. What I mean is, people don't go "hey I know him" if I post on their profile or comment on a game or in one of the forums. There are people, however, who are known throughout AG. People like Firetail_madness, Knight_34, the mods and admins, etc. Who are some well known Armor Gamers?

No, recognisable people. Which basically just means people know who you are when they see your posts. It doesn't mean they go "WOW, awesome!", they might as well go "groooooan, not again!!"...
It's a shame that some users only post on here to check whether they've been acknowledged and to subtly whinge about it if they haven't.
I have to agree, but sadly it is out of my power to lock this for being a popularity fest and waste of breath.
Especially considering a bunch of people are repeating themselves over and over again, either with "I still think my peps are awesome, lol!!" or "I was put on a list, I am important!!"
Or people repeating themselves going "This continues to be crap. It would be awesome if people would take it seriously, but instead they are using it as a measure of their popularity so screw them!". It is not asking for what reason you recognise people, nor is it a particularly meaningful question, all things considered. Had it been a discussion on what makes you stick in the minds of others, on good or bad (like a several people who have been added to my negative rep list for this thread alone), when being recognised actually turns out to be worth anything, when it starts being fame and not just buttpats. I do, but apparently Strop likes this thread, and Zophia doesn't like to moderate when she needs to have to write something, so it's either complaining (and expecting nothing to change, since I'm not an idiot), or reporting to one of the other mods, which would mean I had to use one of my self-limited comments to see if they would agree with me, after having not locked it since it appeared. So, call me lazy or a hypocrite or what not, but eh, can't be bothered. Then I will rather talking about the self-centered people jumping at the slightest mention of their name.

For all I care, people could start criticising what I write and point out all the flaws. It would still be better than the shares buttpatting that is going on. Not to mention that if people actually thought someone is awesome, they should go tell them to their profil-face instead of broadcasting it in a thread that builds on equal parts positive and negative reasoning. Although I agree. This thread for the first few pages had a semi-decent discussion on what makes people recognizable/how it changes from person to person, now it's just a bunch of back patting and repetitive spam.

Pfff, might not agree fully with whinging about not being recognised, but going on and on about them kind of seems like the same rehashing...but we're kind of like a large extended family since since the community is so **** small. So everyone is recognizable, at least to me. I know all of you, oh yes I do.
I feel as though I'm still getting used to the forums after being away because there's been such a massive turn around I just don't know who these new people are, nor which ones can hold a meaningful discussion.
