Hey guys, I think this is just my computer but, I just want to be sure.
So I still play Battlefield 2 (not allowed to get battlefield 3 [computer couldn't handle it either >]) So everytime I log on to a server, patch 1.50, punkbuster bans me!! It brings me back to the server selection screen and a popup says this: "GLOBAL punkbuster GUID BAN 7aafb15b"Every server! Battlefield 2 has all the graphical settings to low. My system specs are "intel pentium 4, 28.6 gb of hard drive, 768 mb of ram, (yeah I know my computer SUCKS) I think that is all tell me if I missed anything. We bought my computer in 2001 D: I tried googling this already, and I looked around on punkbuster's website [url=punkbuster.com] So if you guys can help me please do! And please dont just comment about how I need a new computer

Nice to know i'm not the only one on the computer playing BF2.

I have no idea, my computer is pretty old myself. And I also have XP. So odds are it's not that. The specs seem fine for playing a six year old game.

When I got the game I think I avoided adding punkbuster (if possible i did, been a while) It's probably punkbuster. Never trusted it, didn't get it's usefullness.

Is it kicking you mid-game? Because I've gotten that a few times. I got kicked from the server than the computer exited the program and reset my dashboard.

P.S. Get a new computer XD

Dude! ArmorGames NEEEEEDS an edit button . The way my brain works I think of things separately, I write what I think then like 15 minutes later I think of something else. Example look at my previous comment, I just made that 15 minutes ago. So I need to add that I have played multiplayer before. Then I uninstalled Battlefield, lost the codes, googled it and found the codes and finally got it reinstalled. I wonder if the codes have anything to do with it. see! This is how my brain thinks!! I don't think things through . Anyway The codes I used are: Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition aac4-plmx-ph8e-9tdv-zpz5

and special forces 8255-u6nb-lbh7-kmqy-tmt9
Yeah gooogle! I dont think there is anything else I have to say.

Based on the message and a bit of cursory Googling I'd say it sounds like your GUID has been banned. There seem to be a few different reasons why it may have happened but at the end of the day it means you've been globally banned.

Knowing what little I know about how Punkbuster works the only solution I can offer would be to buy a new copy of the game. New, mind you, not used.

Oh man I wish I had read your last post before I responded. I'd feel like a lot less of an idiot.

If you haven't figured it out yet the CD keys (activation codes) you're using are banned. If you can just Google up a CD key for anything with an online component, odds are extremely good that it has been banned or locked down in some way.

Buy new copies of both games, I was able to find both plus shipping for less than 20 bucks online.
