Lets think here, Mario has been here since 1980 i think and sonic came out 1991 Mario has 3d version, games on ds and wii, wii has 9 worlds and ds has 8 worlds (which is kinda stupid) Sonic grabs coins and runs in circles and from what i heard, 700-750 mph Mario turns big and smashes everything and sonic turns yellow and destroys everyone so i think honesty sonic is better, but mario comes close
Sonic of course. First because Sonic 2 be my first game, and.. Because on one side we have a class character that has the power to transform into super warrior .. And another we have an Italian plumber jumping on turtles to save a princess .. Choice so hard.
Okay, I like Mario games better than sonic games, but in games where both charactors appear, (like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, or Mario and Sonic at the olypic winter games) i prefer sonic.
Errrr...Mario is the best. Obviously. And the games are better. And Bowser is cooler than eggman. And Yoshi is better than tails. (and so on until the end of history)
Even if sonic is alot newer, mario has also alot of games which ones will get newer, like that the war between sonic and mario will continue weeks, months, years or maybe centuries. But mario has better games than sonic because mario games have a bigger challange than sonic. That gives me a will to play mario games 0NLÂ¥!
sonic. when it comes to the old games i like sonic better. when it comes to the newer games i like mario better (the last sonic game i liked was shadow the hedgehog). when its about character then i like sonic better too. i mean, he has super speed, could turn into a saw in the old series and actually has a personality. mario just jumps XP
Mario games are fun,but Sonic games are the best and hes just awesome in his ways.
I personally like both Sonic and Mario, but I like Sonic a little more. I believe it's because Sonic Adventure was one of the first games I ever played. It may be also due to the music in the Sonic games. (Not trying to put down the music in Mario. I enjoy those, too.)
Super Sonic rocks. Actually, characters is a better idea to compare, but I always think of the comics. My big bro had a ton of Sonic the Hedgehog comics. They rocks

Sonic was good back in the day, but lately it's been falling downhill... not saying all the new games are bad, but there are many examples of games that were under-par... As for Mario, the games are all fun, yet games like Galaxy 2 are so easy it's pointless. That said, I'm going to have to go with Mario because the games haven't lost as much charm as Sonic. Plus, I've played the original Sonic, and it's fun. But not as fun as Mario.
