I like them both for different reasons, for example sonic has more personality and abilities but mario has better games. I love a lot of mario games (well everything pre-wii) but sonic is a better character overall

i like the sonic games cause they're more fast paced

I personally like Sonic better. The games are fast in the sense that I can go though entire levels in a single, smooth movement.

Sonic is also someone I identify with more because he has that rebellious, wise guy attitude.

Sonic is awesome, mario is awesome, sonic can kill people by spinning, mario can kill people by jumping, mario has lots of power-ups needed to beat every level, sonic needs one to beat the final level, mario has no personallity, sonic has a great personallity, mario's sidekick is only as useful as mario, Sonic's sidekick is a tech-wiz.

I'm a major fan of both, but i'll admit, i prefer Sonic, just more enjoyable to play in my opinion.

i like mario better because soinc was in sonic 06 and sonic genesis for the GBA. also all of marios games have been good.

They both provide decent games. But in a fight, I'd say Sonic. Just because he has the speed.

I think the Mario games are more fun, but both characters are pretty cool.

Sonic and Mario are both good games. When i was younger, i liked to play Mario. Now i prefer to play Sonic. Certain persons like playing Sonic, certain persons prefer playing Mario.

Sonic's fast, and he has Golden Sonic, but that's temporary. So is Mario's star, so that evens that out.

Anyone want to do a complete character analysis on who would win in a fight?

Or I could just watch a level 9 Mario and Sonic duel it out in Brawl, xD.

Oh wow, epic battle. Mario vs Sonic. Wow this is hard. Well...

I like Sonic cause he is fast and has a lot of friends like tails, knuckles, etc. And he has a lot of cool modes like Golden Sonic and he has a evil twin.... person.... shadow the hedgehog.

I like Mario cause he is a classic! And he has a lot of games! Like more then I can keep track of, way more then Sonic.

I would choose.... SONIC! Yes, I had to include the fact that Mario is a tiny plumber person... XD But he is cool.

Mario games are the BEST and they were part of my childhood :`)
