I think that gay marrige should be approved in every state in the U.S. I know it has been approved in California and just recently in Pennsylvania, but should it realy be allowed? I think it should be, I mean just because your gay doesn't mean you shoud have less rights then straight people. Gays should have the equal rights to get married just the way I do. Shouldn't they?? Tell me what you think.
I agree with strop on all those issues. Also i belive the figure of gay people is one in every 20 which is 5%. So even tho its definitely the minority there are still lots and lots of gay people in the world.

Yeah, this too is an old old figure (about 3 decades or so) and hasn't really been verified to any strong degree with any credibility, so far as I'm aware. Let's also be aware of the fact that because most people expect to be 'heterosexual' or at least conform to such standards that they won't be aware of any possibility that they may not be entirely heterosexually inclined.
Does this really matter? It doesn't have to, except to refute arguments that "most everybody is straight".
I believe the main question here is, "How does it affect you personally." I see many people saying, "Eww, yuck." All this shows is your immaturity. Even if Gay marriage was outlawed everywhere, is that going to stop Gay's from being together? Answer is, NO! They will continue to live together and it is just a part of today's society. If you don't like it, do not be gay. It's as simple as that. There is no reason to put down the ways if life of other people.
WTF IS THIS SITE GAY OR SUMTHIN...IV READ LIKE 100 POSTS SAYIN YES, IF UR GAY GO HANG URSELF MAN. NO ONE WANTS THE GAYS. THEY SHOULD ALL DIE (except girls)
@jew - How can you be so outrageously ignorant about this subject. Just because some people believe that gay marriage is ok, that makes them gay? And then, to put go hang yourself if you are gay? I believe you may need some psychiatric help on this type of thing.
You also said except girls. Does this mean only girls are allowed to be gay? This has got to be one of the stupidest things I have ever read. Got take your feeling elsewhere as I'm sure nobody wants to listen to what you have to say here.
@ GregWeeler: I haven't read all of this thread, nor the last bit of the Homosexuality thread (I read like 60 pages, once, but that was a while ago, there's been more), so this point may have been brought up before.
Now, keep in mind I'm no sociologist, but although it may not have a DIRECT impact on them, it would have a societal impact. Sooo, I suppose that their objections could be founded on the basis that allowing gay marriage (or homosexuality in any form) would fundementally alter society in a way they see to be "wrong". Of course, their reasoning for why it is wrong would be a whole other battle...the real battle, actually.
i don't think so but i think gays can date each other and be together
Er--what is it you don't think? If you don't think gay marriage should be allowed see response 1. If you think anything else see response 2. For Enlish press 3. Para Espanol...
Response 1- Yes...let's let them date, and "be together", but when they apply for a government marriage license we'll laugh in their faces! He, he, wonderuful. Just the sort of mental and emotional sadism I need.
Response 2- Well I guess you meant something else and my attempt at humor was...well, off. In my defense, you were vague.

Er...I guess I could pull off being bi. It really isn't that much of a stretch. Are you happy now?
Why is it that homosexuals are not allowed to marry any way? From a stand of not caring about any sort of morality (I don't think there is anything at all wrong with homosexuality) married heterosexual couples get tax breaks and there is a law in the constitution (not that it gets any respect any more) that no group shall be taxed differently than any other (except in the case of graduated income tax).
