I absolutely loved all the books. It is my favorite series, behind The Hunger Games series by Rick Riordan. I love Greek mythology, so these books were right up my ally, also I'm a teenager, so that worked too! The way Rick portrays all of the Greek stuff in the book, while making it work in the modern world, is just amazing. My personal favorite is the fourth book.

My favorite character is Grover, the fact that he is the source of most of the comic relief, and is one of the most valuable characters, in my opinion, makes him my favorite.
I really liked the books (I read almost the whole series) the movie sucked though.
Yes the movie sucked almost none of the characters were right.
And for FALLEN950 Yeah that was my 2nd choice but my defenite favorite was annabeth chase she is the anwser to many of there problems,has really good battle strategy (being the daughter of Athena),and not to mention she sounds pretty hot.
I liked the movie. But of course, the books were way more descriptive and gave more feeling, but I don't think the movie sucked. I give the movie a 6/10, and the books a 8.5/10.

My most shocking moment is when Percy unleashes that mini hurricane on Mount St. Helens.

No, the concept change from that was that, in the movie, Luke snuck the Lightning Bolt to Percy, not Ares like in the book.
Because of the guy who made the movie, they destroyed a possibly AWESOME, no not possibly, just AWESOME movie series. ALL THEY NEEDED TO DO TO DESTROY THE MOVIE SERIES, WAS JUST MAKE THEM 16! The movie was LOOSELY based on the book, not based, loosely based! I imagined such an awesome movie series, but NOOOOO. They make Grover a ladiesman, Annabeth a full tomboy, Hades actually evil, Persephone a menlady(female that acts like a ladiesman to males). Everything was pretty much messed up.
