A bit of a forum game, but since it deals heavily with songs, I feel it should go here.

The rules are quite simple: Simply name the song that the above lyrics are from. Try and see if you can do it without using Google. :P

That being said, name this song:

I was there when the bear ate his head,
He thought it was a candy. (Everyone knows in the end)
Knock, knock, on the door.
Whose it for? Theres nobody in here. (Look in the mirror my friend)

Kelly Clarkson - Tip Of My Toungue

How do you feel? That is the question.
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer.
When something like a soul becomes initialized,
And folded up like paper dolls and little notes,
You can't expect a bit of folks.

I know that song. Its Stone Sour - Through Glass

My lyrics:
Wish I'd died instead of lived
A zombie hides my face
Shell forgotten with its memories
Diaries left with cryptic entries

Stone Sour - Bother

Why can't things be as easy as they once were.
It pains me to say, but I don't love you anymore.
It was great while it lasted but things had changed so fast it,
Kept, kept my head spinning.
I haven't been happy for quite sometime.
You wouldn't know by the way I wore my smile.

Once I held you when it was cold and gloom.
Now I can't even stand to be in the same room.
Your sight just sickens me.
Your voice is painful to hear.
How did we ever last a whole year.

salt the Wound~A year in the suburbs

You tried to taste me
And I taped my tongue to the southern tip of your body
But bones are too heavy to come up
Squished into a single cell of wood

Wooooood ... woooooooood

And I made an excuse
And you found another way to tell the truth
I put no one else above us
We'll still be best friends when all turns to dust

Well this is awkward. Since no one seems to be getting it, ill trade the lyrics out. That one was Excuses by the Morning Benders. It was on a Reese's commercial, so it's not entirely obscure.

New:
I'd swim across lake Michigan
I'd sell my shoes
I'd give my body to be back again
In the rest of the room
_______
You gave your body to the lonely
They took your clothes
You gave up a wife and a family
You gave your goals

Ah, I know that one ^__^ A beautifull song written by Sufjan Stevens
You did well when you removed the chorus, that would be too easy with it To be alone with you

Next:
Hello, mirror
So glad to see you my friend
It's been a while

Staring at the empty page before me
All the years of wreckage running through my head
Patterns of my life I thought I don't ...
Revealing hurt for shame and deep lament

Overwhelming sorrow now absorbs me
As the pen begins to trace my darkest past
Signs throughout my life that should have warned me
Of all the wrongs I've done for which I must repent

I once thought it better to regret
Things that I have done and haven't

Sometimes you've got to be wrong
Learn the hard way
Sometimes you've got to be strong
When you think it's too late

repentance by dream theater
now give mine a go

Listen to me, I'm talking to you.
Be your own friend,
be your own friend, and fight, fight, fight for yourself.
No one has your back, you're helpless
who is willing to stand up for what they believe in?
Nobody
They fold and crumble under fear, and anything else that challenges them.

Rise, and change my friend.

This isn't what it seems,
reality already passed me by.
I'm living in nothing but dreams,
and failing at reaching the sky.

I know you're over there just waiting for me to make the move.
Stand up, stand your solid ground, you're not alone.
I know you're over there just waiting for me to make the move.

Fight hard for all you have,
believe me its worth the effort.
Whats weighing you down?
Do anything. Get it out.
Whats weighing you down?
Do anything. Get it out.

Open up this heart I'm living for, inside of this life I'm fighting for.
Guard your heart and everything close to it.
Rise up and change my friend.
Fix the henderence, bear witness to your doom.
I know you're standing over there, waiting for me to make the move.

I want you out of my life.

My Children, My Bride - Boris the Blade

So gather up your jackets, move it to the exits,
I hope that you have found a friend.
Closing time, every new beginning comes
From some other beginning's end.

Is that Closing Time by Subsonic?

You get a shiver in the dark
It's raining in the park but meantime
South of the river you stop and you hold everything
A band is blowing Dixie double four time
You feel all right when you hear that music ring

Well now you step inside but you don't see too many faces
Coming in out of the rain to hear the jazz go down
Competition in other places
But the horns, they blowing that sound

Dire Straits !!! <3 Mark Knopfler is an awesome guitarist ^_^
The song is Sultans of Swing.

Another mission
The powers have called me away
Another time
To carry the colors again
My motivation
An oath I've sworn to defend
To win the honor
Of coming back home again
No explanation
Will matter after we begin
Another dark destroyer that's buried within
My true vocation
And know my unfortunate friend
You will discover
A war you're unable to win

I am 99.99% sure that song is Indestructible by Disturbed.

My lyrics:
Life is a waterfall
We're one in the river
And one again after the fall

Swimming through the void
We hear the word
We lose ourselves
But we find it all

System of a down - aerials

Segregation of the races.
Religious feuds and hatred.

Pitting brother against brother.
HATRED.
Turning friend to foe.

Where is your allegiance?
Where do you stand?
Blind submission threatens the survival of the free man... and if you stand for nothing, I will still stand for you.

This is more than a call to arms!
This is a ****ing revolution!

Our country is not the only thing to which we owe our allegiance. It is also owed to justice and to humanity. Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong.
[- James Bryce]

Divide & conquer.
Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society.

Breed genocide of a feudal race.
This is a mass execution.

Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society.
Where is your allegiance?
Where do you stand?
Blind submission threatens the survival of the free man... and if you stand for nothing, I will still stand for you.

This is more than a call to arms!
This is a ****ing revolution!

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
[- Mark Twain]

Depreciation of self.
Corrosion of the classes.
Break the boundaries that bring confusion to the masses.
Opposition stirred the goal to inflict a mortal wound in the fragile heart of man.
Irreparable and internal, it will destroy us from within.

Divide & conquer.
Divide & conquer.
