So as I check on my profile I noticed that I had lost a couple of points. So I tell this to a mod and ask him to tell me what I did wrong so that I don't make the same mistake. Then as I go back to my profile I found that I lost over 400 ap points and so I get panicked. So I sent a complaint and soon I found out that everyone else is having the same problem. So what the heck is going on?
I think the mod thought that during the maintence they were removing spam (comments/posts under 7 words) some other mod must've deleted all of your "spammy" comments, when it must've been a glitch on AG.
Please refer to the non-removed thread on the SAS (support and suggestions). Strop made it, and hopefully it will shed this light on this situation.
BTW, please don't make any more threads, it will significantly remove AP, which is another feature of the glitch.

Why involve the mods? They are enhanced users, not staff members and probably have just about as much information about what was done during the maintenance as your average rock. Which is about as much knowledge as anyone has, probably including the actual staff, considering they didn't actually catch the massive errors and glitches before they went home...
Also, let's just put it like this: ARGH! I LOST AP!! - Yes, you did, deal with it. ARGH MY ABOUT! - If it was important, you should have backed it up elsewhere. ARGH I CAN'T FORUM!!! - Neither can the rest of us, go do something else. All these have one simple solution, you see: Take a deep breath, calm the heck down, and stop being an idiot with the technology you are given.

Sorry, don't really know how the system works. Just trying to explain to the best of my knowledge.
Explaining stuff to the best of someone's knowledge tends to mock up the truth. Either way, this is why I distinguish between "staff" and "mods". The mods are exactly that. Moderators. They stick around, they moderate the communication... The staff, on the other hand, is getting paid, is actual staff of the site and will be the ones that "know" what is going on, what to "fix" and would be the ones that maintain the coding of the site instead of what discussion might be going on, or keeping check of the rules (often proven by admins/staff breaking the rules of the forums, because they apparently are no aware of their own rules... I don't know either).
So, the staff. Hopefully comes forth to apologize about the error and communicate with the public for once. Though my money is on the "Let's just try and fix a few of the problems, and pretend nothing happened, lol!!" method, as last seen during the server crash right after new years, where the "explanation/apology" was a quick tweet about it being server issues (No, really?) and that they were trying to fix it. Hence leaving moderators to take care of the panic, keeping people calm, explaining stuff and deleting the endless amount of spam...
It's a glitch. It is rarely permanent. Good job about saying AG sucks, though, and how your measly amount of "hard earned" points is horrible to lose.
Seriously, it happens. Either justified or because the current version of AG is so full of glitches that regular service seems to be as rare as snow in Sahara on a bright July day.
Personally I doubt AGv3 will fix anything, but that is me being a pessimist with previous experiences with the staff. But ideally, they are using the majority of their time making AGv3 to the best gaming website you have ever seen, which should also fix all the glitches they haven't bothered fixing for the last four years since the site started.
First time I have seen something like this happen on AG. Probably will be fixed before AG3. AG3 will probably also fix lots of minor issues of the site.
