Well, i juat saw that one of the competitors to vbe the president of US as a bill because of this race. it happend in Israel, it happen all around the world. so i have to say - how a man from the street, who can be the greatest, best leader of a nation, cannot even try to go to this race, because of lacking of money? how did we get ther?

Yes, i understand why, but didnt the democracy meant to let the little man power, not letting the rich more power?

and it made me think- democracy is not freedom to everyone, its freedom to the rich doing whatever they want. letting them compite between themselve for the ruling on earth.

what do you have to say?

i agree that the rich people are more free then poor people.

however i do not agree that you need to be rich to become president.
sure it is like that in the usa because of their 2 partys only system.
and sure it is like that in israel. sure it is like that in russia, china, india, brazil.
but it is not like that everywhere in the world.

in most of (north) europe every1 is able to become the president/prime minister
it is because of the size of the countrys and a few laws in these countrys (that the usa for example does not have) that makes the changes for all party's more even.
such as promotion costs during the election period, paid by the tax payers.(up to a certain amount) and/or a max amount of money alowed to spend on the promotion of that party.
it makes the partys alot more even and fair.

Ah yes. The famous Chinese presidencies. They just love free market capitalism over there.

The poor have plenty of power. The only reason that "Rich" people get more pregnancies is having typically better education (It is rather difficult to get into an ivy league school with pocket change), advertising (If no one can hear you, no one can help you.), etc.

You can "Try" to run for the election if you are poor. It is pretty certain that you won't get the presidency unless you somehow manage to beat out the big two parties. You just need to have enough names sponsoring you, enough backing from the public, etc.

well in my country every1 has education because it is paid for by a gov. orgenisation.
it's in our constitution as our right to get educated.

How good a one? Because you seem to think China has a president.

It is just as realistic with me being president as some of the rich guys. Do you think Bill Gates would be elected if he ran for president? Probably not.

Absolutely not, how would anyone even know who you are? One of the main reasons Romney is going to win the GOP primary is the millions of dollars he has spent during his campaign. Could you be elected to local office? Of course. But you would not be nearly visible enough, without money, to be elected to a federal position.

Fun fact, nearly 50% of congress are millionaires.

they have a president, and they do hold elections.
it's just that there is only 1 party and the people can choose the president from members of that party.

lol, where did i say that every rich kid can be president?
there is a difference between allowed and able to become president.

I assume you know this because you are rich and not because you saw something on T.V once?

Please, name a few cons to being rich.

It is irrelevant. What I am saying is I have the same chance of several well-known rich people as becoming president. Like Bill Gates.

they have a president, and they do hold elections.
it's just that there is only 1 party and the people can choose the president from members of that party.

Where are you getting that information from?

The only reason they have "Republic" in the name is because it sounds more free. Which means they are obviously communists. Unites Soviet Socialist Republic? Communist. Republic of Cuba? Communist.

The old leaders choose the new leaders. It is not a republic, it is much closer to an oligarchy, no one votes in leaders except the old leaders themselves.

I think Bill Gates would have a better chance then you. You would need money to travel to places and convince the people there, and money to spread your message and to be known. Well, it's at least a lot easier with money. All the time you spend campaigning, is the time you aren't spending working. And if you aren't already rich, or have some really good connections, it's going to be hard to pay for everything.

name a few cons to being rich.

Other greedy people wanting your cash, such as in a will; Constantly being in the media for anything you do; Being hated by the lower class.

and the people can choose the president from members of that party.

Their congress picks the president, not the common people.

Assuming Gates didn't run for any of the big parties and ran for himself, he would have practically no chance no matter how much money he spends. I would have almost the same low chance by posting 5$ internet adds and spambots.

Oh boo hoo. I would take that over having both mother and father having to work two jobs, not being able to feed yourself, having to use food stamps, and having all the rich people hat you.

"Oh woe is me! The media chastises me for the yacht party I had last week!"
"Oh. That is nice. I am going to go buy some off brand soup with food stamps"
"I AM THE ONE WITH REAL PROBLEMS!"

Oh okay, thats what you mean. Sorry, I was thinking about it between you and bill gates. But you're right, both of you verses the two parties would have the same chance.

You're somewhat of an extremist, your views don't match most American's, you have no previous experience, and you have no money.

You have no chance of winning, it is not irrelevant because you can't spend the money to make yourself more visible or to convince others that your plan is correct. I'm not saying that your opinions and positions are incorrect, just that they don't mesh with mainstream American politics.
