Anyway, if the Scots secede, would you still be called Great Britain, and hence British?
It's unlikely they will, but that's a thread for someone else to create.... Great Britain is the geographical term for the main island. Scotland can't secede from that (without moving... which i doubt they'd do). They could secede from the United Kingdom though but I assume that would carry on with just England, Wales and Northern Ireland. But it wouldn't affect anyones nationality.
Looking at some of the previous posts in this thread there seems to have been a mix-up between ethnicity and nationality here so I guess I'll just do both =)
As you can see on my profile, I'm an American. My ancestors immigrated here from Germany, so I'm mostly German and that's all I really know of. So yeah I guess because I have blond hair blue eyes that would have made me a part of the "master race" but don't worry I'm not anti-semetic or anything

well it's not like he said "death to jews" or something wildly moronic like that.. and he put "master race" in quotes as well, therefore taking even more of the edge off of it. I'm part German & part Jewish and I take no offense from either side of that..
I know he meant no offence, as I said he was joking. But joking about the "master race" is definitely shaky ground and could very easily offend a lot of people. Maybe take it more as a suggestion, but I wouldn't go there

Technically, it only came to mean "tall, blond, blue-eyed and Scandinavian god person" after the Nazi's stole it. Before that, his description is rather fitting. But I do think it might be a case of "let's joke about this", like when you call a tall guy Shorty.
But I would like to call myself a 'World Citizen' instead... we all inhabit this wonder by mother nature...
