I am extremely excited for number 3! It looks amazing and I felt like the AC series was important enough to me to make a thread so, put anything AC related down below...
The Russians didn't get upset when you could kill civies in MW2.
I was thinking the same thing, until I remembered they actually did get offended (well, someone did), which resulted in that level being removed from Russian copies of the game. But, you're still killing Russians who are the bad guys.
I think that's why people are nervous about the game, they don't want to be portrayed as the bad guys, as if portrayals of their ancestors has anything to do with their image.
A lot of people said that AC3 should take place during the French Revolution or Japan. Desmond isn't Japanese and his family lives in the Black Hills, which means it shouldn't be a surprise that one of his ancestors lived in America during the Revolutionary War.
But, let's face it, does anyone honestly think the AC team is going to create a bland game where Americans are the good guys and the Brits the bad? Of course not. They're going to create some sort of twist that will give both Americans and Brits a warm feeling in their heart, albeit, one that is bitter sweet as well.
Connor is not just killing British or American soldiers. The main objective of an Assassin is to eliminate a Templar. Altair didn't kill just Christians or just Muslims. so why would Connor kill just American or just British? Anyway anyone who is saying it is likely for Connor to side with the Americans is historically innacurate, Native Americans typically sided with the British because they would be promised their freedom.
