If no one replies, let the thread die (Rule 101).

I mean, in case of the spam. . . meh, maybe it's alright but ImTheMostManlyMan already pointed out that others were made before this and weren't very enduring.

But fine. I'll stick with the current topic. >.>

I don't really play it anymore as I spend my time on different games (primarily League of Legends, Starcraft II and Tribes: Ascend) but it's an alright game overall. I haven't got the update (Back to Karkand) downloaded and I don't intend to have it downloaded since I no longer care for Battlefield 3 really.

Some maps are just utterly appalling for the mode they're in (Seine Crossing and Conquest is very silly / rigid for all playing) and some items can just make you want to tear your hair out (particularly the Mortar).

The coordinated fighting, teamwork and capabilities of a team is brilliant (sadly no one uses these elements) and vehicle warfare is also very nice to experience as most shooter games currently don't have the same uniform, synergizing style (although Tribes Ascend is awesome).
Indeed, it's a firm reminder of Battlefield 2 and a strong strong upgrade in many regards (the lower amount of classes but each one being more versatile is great) and some of the best maps were salvaged from the legend, incorporated to bolster this one in its epicness.

I was going to purchase Battlefield 3, then I rediscovered my love for BF2 and all the mods made for it.

BF2>BF3 for me, so no, I do not play it.

Well, I'll follow, Highfire's and Manly's advice, let the thread die, or get it locked. CYA GUYS!
