Is 1D the best Boy band. Maybe. I don't have anything against them except for their music being overplayed to the point where my ears begin to bleed. I think the Backstreet Boys were better personally.
THEY SUCK. I HOPE THEY ALL GO TO HELL!
Because...?
Anyway, if 1D survives, I hope they can adapt in the long run. BB's almost always have such a short shelf life that it's sad.
The whole Boy Band thing is basically a bandwagon with many defects in it. I doubt they will survive.

Short shelf life as in... their CD's being sold REAL quickly? Or as in... they won't sell and the record store owner throws them into the sales department?!

Because they are so wonderful of course! Can't deny the commercial hugeness of the world wide million dollar succes of BoyBands of course... =)

As long as they make money for the record companies and there's a crowd of insane screaming teenagers to attend their concerts... I think they will surely survive! =0
Surely being the world's best boy band is like being the world's shiniest turd?
Kudoos for making me spill coffe out of my nose there ihsahn! LMAO! Ouch... that burns! XP
Not to attack poor, disconcerted, moronic fools with no talent, but let me make a reference to Alice in Wonderland; DOWN WITH THE BLOODY BOY BAND! =D Eat my pocket-watch-loving, old-fashioned tastes!
I mean their songs are catchy but I don't like em' as a whole. I mean I'll stick with the Beatles. But I guess people in the future will look at them as the Beatles of our generation. But who knows, anyhing can happen :/

...no. The Beatles had a massive musical influence on everything that came after them, universal commercial appeal, unrivaled cultural impact worldwide and enormous critical acclaim.
There was rock before the Beatles, and rock after the Beatles.
There aren't any "Beatles of this generation". There aren't Beatles of any generation except the Beatles themselves. You don't throw their name around in a discussion on boy bands.
