I Say you should be at least a teen while playing rated M games no matter what.Think about it this way
Some little kid plays Call of Duty, they see all the violence in it,They MIGHT think that its ok to do the same thing BECAUSE its in the game
Little kids have no or little sense of whats ok to copy off of.
So thats why you should be older because you know whats ok to copy.

10 year olds? No. They don't need to be exposed to that yet. They need their childhood and this robs it of them. Play Mario. Or pokemon. Heck I'm 15 and I still get a kick out of nientendo. Those are good, high quality games. We don't need kids going crazy because they died in cod. It's not even the kids fault, it's the irisponsible parent.
Think of it this way, would you rather your 10 year old go see Madagascar or nightmare on elm street?

It's up to the kid to be mature enough not to copy-cat what the game does or says. If the kid can't handle it, that's their problem.

I don't think the color of the blood matters :P

Surprisingly the color of the blood matters alot since red blood is more realistic than green or blue.

Tbh, I don't care. And I don't think anyone should. I mean do you really think a kid playing a M rated game will change your life? No. Will it change the kid's life? If he is sane, then no. What is this myth that kids will copy everything they see? We are talking about 9-12 year olds, not 1-3 year olds. There is a major difference. All my friends at that age played violent games and I didn't, but we where all at the same violence level in real life. No sane human being, dispite their age will ever take a weapon and brutaly murder people in real life. Killing in real life is a hell of a lot more difficult then in a video game, and kids know that.

It depends on the game, and the kid. With a lot of rated M games, I think younger kids shouldn't be playing them, but there are a few that would be okay.

Rated m games aren't everytime rated correctly because they have "violence" or other things. I saw a film some time ago: it was about three guys that were at a "for girls university" and there were things like: woman showering and the chest was complety naked" or" two of the guys fighting with plastic.. you know what i mean....because one of them wanted to give up".the film was rated 12+ / watching whith the parent agree. i think that would infouence kids more that a game that improves theyr sociability, strategy.....

It depends on the game and the maturaty of the kid, as well as if they have a mic and are interupting your game. I personally think a kid under 10 should be able to play games like Halo, just because its futuristic and not as realistic as CoD, as well as there isnt tons of blood in it. Video-Games original concept was for a fun, unrealistic experience, and that has well changed, and the younger generation has moved along with it.
