"Humans right now are evolving, believe it or not, but we don't necessarily notice it."

What?...
Evolution as we know it has always been physical changes

Yes, are physical appearances ARE changing. Did you know that in the last couple hundred years, that the average height of human has been increasing? That would be evolution.

No, people with bad diets can be short. For example, midgets are of course very short. That doesn't mean that they have bad diets. It is in their genes. Alot more people are becoming taller, because height is hereditary. People are adapting to everyday occurances, too short for this and that. Over the years, we will probably become taller and taller.

Hmph, better diet? Seriously, 25% of the US is obese. I have seen very tall, obese people.

So in conclusion, height is hereditary, so it is in your genes. Diet doesn't affect height necessarily because there are obese people in the world that are quite tall. Probably more to conclude, but I am toooo tired :/

Wow this has nothing to do with Religious beliefs any more. Go get a hotel, or better yet another thread.

I myself have a mixed belief in neither of the options above. More or less, it uses logic over ancient tomes, crooked religous leaders, and word of mouth.

A little to long to type, but there are some interesting books on it I may share later.

That cant be evolution!
Evolution is caused by mutation. So a infant has to be born shorter, and the rest of the population would have to decrease and that infant would have to reproduce its genes until millions are born so we are able to so them!

That will take yearsssssssss

Estel, that is actualy a birth defect... everything else you say is coeerect though (just bad example).

Zerato, better diet? I shall not even comment on that.

...instead I shall comment on that Grow Taller Guide. That guide is not talking about overall human growth from generation to generation. It is talking about "Do you want to be taller? Read this for fast results."

That book is a bloody scam. So not only did you post something completely irrelevant to your arguement, but it was a scam as well.

Everybody is born with small mutations. 99% of the time they are unoticable.

First, let me ask, do you understand the theory of how evolution works? It is not something were every generation is simply a tiny bit different.

Evolution goes through a process of natural selection. This is were a a species of animal with a birth defect has a mutation, and that mutation helps it live longer. Most mutations will not last more than a few generations, so most mutations you will not notice at all and will hardly effect evolution. Even though most mutations do not effect evolution in a radical way, there are others that do effect a species and evolution.

Let us take the giraffe. It's ancestors had regular sized necks. As time went by all the food was being eaten by other animals and the only obtainable food was the leaves in trees. The giraffes with slighly longer necks would have a larger chance of survival. By the time one generation of giraffe grew to a mature enough age to reproduce, msot of the shorter necked giraffes would ahve died out. Then most of the offspring would be born with slightly longer necks. Then out of those offspring, the ones with longer necks lived while more of the shorter necked ones died.... and so on and so on.

There are many many small mutations in every body, most are just not noticable and because humans do not depend so much on natural selection to survive, we have very different looking people.

The theory of evolution doesn't work :P

"It is not something were every generation is simply a tiny bit different."

You are putting a whole species as one.
One may be born different but no the other.
Now why would the whole population follow one trait change? Which would be shortness?

Great, glad to have your opinion. To bad it is worth nothing. Back that opinion up!

Understand that not everyone is tall. There are a lot of short people too. Humans are diverse because they have technologies to faze out natural seletion. Human beings are evolving slowly and at a very random pace. I do not know exactly how they are changing because it is a process that takes hundreds to thousands of years.

Well you are saying people are getting shorter because of evolution. Evolution should be making RANDOM mutations.

"Understand that not everyone is tall. There are a lot of short people too."

Yes people are shorter now, but how does evolution explain this?

How do we go from all of a sudden tall people to bunch of short ones?

Closer to millions! But he is right, you aren't going to see evolution happening right before your eyes. This is why we have fields like archaeology and paleontology, so that we can see back into the past, compare them to the present, and see what changes took place.

I never said that. First of all, the average person is taller than people long ago. Second of all, if you read anything I said at all, you would find that I already told you that people are going through random mutations.

Don't twist my words around. I have answered all of your questions. All you have to do is read.
