So from What i've seen the new Spiderman movie will FINALLY! be following the comic book series. As an avid comic book reader/marvel & DC Geek the first 3 movies were awful. the movies did not follow Stan Lee's comics at all! this one at least appears to reflect the comic series. but if Peter Parker doesn't break Gwen Stacy's back while trying to save her i'm going to be soooooo disappointed

C`mon man, thats pretty cold. Spider-Man is big around little kids, and she was killed in a fight with the green goblin i think, not with the lizard. Also, if she dies, then it will be something like her falling from the bridge and into the river so its not as...dark i guess. she will probably survive to the second one where they most likely will have the green goblin, similarly to how scarecrow was a smaller villian for batman, and then is followed by the most famous Joker. thats probably whats gonna happen here. I agree with you though, the movies didnt really follow the comics of it. but if they are going to make more, they have to bring venom back! he is by far my favorite marvel villian. heck, he is by far my favorite super hero villain. he probably is my favorite villain overall, only to be rivaled by boba fett, maybe. but venom is a very big villain and needs to be in at least one of the films. sice the lizard is making his screen debut, maybe have a venom one wth carnage in it or make a sequal where venom comes back at fight carnage. oh im so exited! two thing bother me though.... 1. dr. connars seems a little bit too dark, but its hard to tell. i mean he was really inoccent, he just want his arm back.... you know, now that i think about it, spider-man relias alot on inner conflict. think about it. black suit, venom, lizard, green goblin even a little with doc occ. 2. the spidey suit looks too differant... mainly in the hands. the hands arent just red, they sorta mix with the blue a little, and it looks a little feminine. im also looking forward to spideys mouth coming back into play. we missed that, as i think of him to be the second loudest hero, only deadpool can pass him. i relized that this was very long but yeah, thats what im thinkan so far.....so exited! and batman right after it....ahhh its amazing! avengers, mib3, spidey, batman and expendables.
This new Spiderman looks much more entertaining than the old one. Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker was just not an interesting character at all, but this new one looks like he has more to him than just predictable superhero dialogue.

Thankyou Ernie, yeah the films are great but Toby Maguire's not a great Peter Parker, he's too mumbly and yeah Peter was a geek so to speak but even in the cartoons he had a confident streak which Toby does not show at all. Hopefully the new Spiderman film promises a little better than boring old "Tobe" does.
In my opinion, this new spiderman seems yo be... darker? In he original story he was a nerd.... now he seems mature and vengeful. I don't see it being that popular because the storyline is different from the original one and it had 3 movies.

Yeah i can see where your coming from but i hope this new Spiderman catches on, time to break free from geeky, mumbling Peter Parker.
I didn't like Tobey in the role either. He made the character too depressing without much of anything else. The second and third movie were almost not even worth watching because Peter Parker had no personality. I'm hoping that this next Spiderman will be a character and not just a useless idol.
I just saw it..... Amazing is the word I'm looking for. Their was only one tiny thing I didn't like about it, no Jamison. Other than that it was great. Loved it. Good action. Good story. 5/5. Also, what do you guys think about the after credits scene? I personally think it was Osborn, but people argue that it was electro. Im thinking Osborne because he was talked about much and had to have know the lizard before. Also, he mentioned his father which means that it would have to be someone older, not electro. I don't think gobby will be the next villain however. I think that they might have someone else with less of a spotlight. Sandman maybe? Heck maybe electro will be the villain, and he would be backed by Osborne. That's what Im thinking.
I was not a fan of the first 3 movies with Tobey Maguire. He's not charismatic at all and the movies don't match with the comics. Neither Spiderman was funny, but he should be. The only laughes I had, was by pity.
Even if The Amazing Spiderman is not an awesome film, I'm happy to say that I finally watched a film that matches with the true idea of Spiderman that Stan Lee created. And thx to the Comics God, Andrew Garfield is charismatic. I hope the next movies will keep matching with comics.
Since they made this reboot to create a link with the Avengers, I would tell this is/will be a blockbuster...
The original Spiderman series came from the idea of a nerd-turned-hero. I mean, comic books have always been targeted at nerds, haven't they? It's a marketing thing.
This new Spiderman looks like it's appealing to, well, what AG appeals to. Young teens. It's dark, packed with more action, and the hero doesn't look like that kid who sits alone at the lunch table.
