I'm sure this forum is filled with Nintendo fans, so I don't think this console needs any further introduction!

I happen to love this magnificent device, even though I haven't been able to play in a while due to my unfortunate luck with both the Cube itself and the games! But when I did play it, I was really into NFS Underground and Mario Kart Double Dash and I would always beat my friends when they'd play against me... =)

Do you have any interesting Gamecube experiences or memories? A favorite Gamecube game perhaps? This is the place to discuss it!

Probably Metroid Prime or Pikmin 2. Those were both really well done and entertaining.

That's crazy! I've never heard of a console that only worked when inverted! I guess you learn something new every day... =P

That happened to me all the time too... eventually it happened so often that I had to replace the whole thing! Which was fine, until the same thing happened to my next Cube!

Though, as frustrating as it was, I still love the Gamecube and all the memories I've acquired from it over the many years that it was my main source of entertainment. =D

If I had to choose five favorites in no particular order, I'd have to go with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, 007: Agent Under Fire, Metroid Prime II, MLB Slugfest 2003 and of course SSB Melee.

The common denominator is multiplayer. Not the newfangled &quotlay against others online" multiplayer, the original split-screen style where your opponents are right next to you. I never cared much for playing video games by myself, because it wasn't as fun without someone to beat, so nearly all of my Gamecube games are or have a multiplayer setting.

Double Dash is a great game as well. I haven't played it in years, but I bet I could still beat any one of you whippersnappers in a race with one eye closed.

Never had one! The only game I really ever played on one was Melee. It still is really popular too. I have lots of friends that play Melee and not Brawl.
007: Agent Under Fire

I have it for PS2. Probably one of my favorite games I have.

Gamecube was my first console! My favorite games that I had for it were Super Monkey Ball 2, most of the Zelda games, and Super Smash Bros Mele. Both Windwaker and Ocarina have stopped working on it though, it just says the disc can't be read.

I've stopped using it as frequently since the games can be played on the Wii, but I still pull it out now and then for nostalgia's sake. I prefer it over the wii, because I like control sticks, and having more control over my movements.

With the multiplayer, I'm split half and half. I love playing with friends and beating people, but it's also fun to have the satisfaction of going on an adventure and beating an entire game by yourself.

I had a gamecube and sold it when I found out the wii could play gamecube, so now I have a wii. Out of all my gamecube games I have to say my favourite would have to be the zelda collection pack that came with it. ZELDA FOREVER.

As for a gamecube specific title, I own Baten Kaitos Origins and though I never beat it (**** the final boss is impossible) It was a really cool game.

Personally though If I had to be honest I think I liked the Wii over the gamecube. The Wii I think just had better releases like Okami, Zack and Wiki and now Xenoblade (OMG this game is consuming my life right now).

As for fun experiences with my gamecube I think judging by others this ones kinda strange. My gamecube got chucked, not thrown, CHUCKED!!! across the room into a wall by a 7 year old having a tantrum and it still worked fine. Never had any problems with it

007: Agent Under Fire, Metroid Prime II

I used to play those all the time! =O

But I wasn't as good at Metroid as I was at 007! The light beams were harder for me to get used to... -_o

Uh-huh... sure... whaaaaatever you say...

I hate playing Gamecube games on the Wii because you still have to use the Wii remote to access the game! Switching from controller to controller is NOT the way console games are supposed to be played!

Nice thread! =) I love the Gamecube and I thing I will keep mine...the rest of my life! XD Anyways I like playing Mario Kart Double Dash on it and beating my friends on it is awesome! =D

I like to play racing games on it like Mario Kart Double Dash and F-Zero GX. I also like playing a game called Gladius on it. It is a Gladiator games so it is a-lot of fun! I do have to say that the Gamecube has a good amount of games and a-lot of good games! =)

I was hooked on Melee too for a while... then I unlocked everything and playing solo stopped being fun... =|

It appears as though every Double-Dasher here is quite confident in their karting skills! If only there were a way to determine which one of us was truly the dominant racer!

What do you guys think of some sort of "Gamecube Live"? It's not going to happen, but how glued to your couch would you be if it were to exist?

Game cube: Lasts me 7 years
Wii: Last around 11 months

Not only is the console quality going down, so are the games. Games like 007: Nightfire, Agent under fire, and everything or nothing, SSB melee, and pikmin 1 & 2 all gave me DAYS of gameplay and fun. Wii: SSB brawl *Beats in one day, unlocks everything, no longer fun*
